I'm not a pro...
First I just want to say, I'm not a professional nail technician. And so while I have a TON of nail stuff I collected over the years (learning off utube) I never bought a pair of these nail trimmers! I always have done gel nails or hard gel overlays on my natural nails.Well, we are doing different stuff! So I needed a pair! These were reasonably priced, came in purple (kinda a bluish-purple), and ready to be used! I currently have one hand done...and need a break! I'm not a professional! So I'm writing a review. My impression is that these might not be those snappy, peppy guillotine fast and super sharp ones like when you GO to the nail salon and the nail tips get cut down. But honestly, after (duh, finally) 8 years of doing my own nails due to finances, and finding a somewhat calming effect at one point, you learn how to use toe nail clippers without cracking the gel. Acrylic is different. Now with these particular nail cutters they cut in the same manner as the ones at the nail salon, but found that the nail tip was flattening, then would snip. Afterwards, the nail tip in the middle was very jagged and raggedy. Didn't especially love that. And now that I am putting tips with polygel overlay on, I REALLY HOPE at some point when they are ready for a cut down, these cheaper clippers can handle the task. I only included a photo of one hand with cut down tips and a layer of clear polygel, then one photo with plain old glued on tip that was cut down. On the plain old cut down, you may notice how the clippers did not get a consistant cut all the way across or all the way through. While the pattern of where this occurs on each cut and how many times you have to keep cutting depends on each nail. And I suppose it would depend on each users brand as well. Perhaps we will have to update this little review.

Great clippers
These work flawlessly and cut into a nice square shape! After a little filing they look good as new... perfect for when you want to go a little longer between appointments but don't want super long acrylics

Good Product For The Price.
Nice for home use. Which is why I bought them. They work just fine on acrylic tips. To be clear these aren't professional grade clippers , they are made for hobbyists and DIYers. They are plenty sharp to cut through nail tips, I don't do an overlay so I can't comment on how they would work for that. The handle is a little too smooth for my liking making them uncomfortable to hold, but let's face it they weren't expensive so I'm not going to fuss. The colors are fun, the metal strong and easy to clean.I saw several reviews complaining that they didn't work on natural nails. I thought as a former Pro nail tech I would clear that up. These are NOT made for natural nails. They are made to cut Plastic. It says so in the title. Stainless Steel False Nail Cutter. False as in fake. If you want something to cut your natural nails Tweezerman makes some very good products.UPDATE: While I liked these at first the blade dulls on them quickly. They do have a replaceable blade if you want to go that route. I found mine at Sally's Beauty Supply.

Good Nail Clippers
These nail clippers are quite good for the price. I found them to be pretty sturdy and sharp enough to get the job done. I do my own tips (and then dip powder) at home and I've been using these for about 10 times of doing my nails and they're just as good as when they were brand new.The only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars is because I think they could stand to be a bit sharper, but for the price, I think they're great!
