First time I went to use my new light it didn’t work!
I purchased two of these a little over 30 days ago after seeing one a friend had bought. I was so happy to be taking my new pole light down to the Baja 1000. Thursday night I get all set up, I break out my new pole light, get it all set up and to my total disappointment the light did not work. When you connect it there is a quick flicker of the light and that’s it. Supper disappointed and mad at myself for not taking both lights down to Baja.My evaluation:the pole is a supper cheap telescoping fishing pole. It is so cheap that I had to Reglue several bands back on to the pole that had fallen off in the box.The cables are adiquite, the cable kit comes with a adapter set of alligator clips to contect direct to a car battery and a cigarette lighter conecter. The light itself is a aluminum sheet metal panel with Leds on it. Since mine did not work I can’t really attest to the quality or functionality of it.The concept is nice though.

Garbage
So, this product looks amazing in pictures. And I was excited to use it. But, as soon as I opened the carrying bag the product came in there was a giant problem. The poles eyelets were all broken, the pole was so cheaply made, it fell apart as I tried to extend it. I contacted seller and no response for months, so long that I had forgotten. All in all, dont waste your money. You can purchase higher quality individual parts of this set up for cheaper in the end anyway.

Nice
This thing is cool! Gives off a nice overhead spread of light that is very adjustable and keeps the bugs high above you. Lights up EVERYTHING over a very wide area without blinding you, or a much more localized area if you want it to. The fishing rod works ok (its literally a trashy fishing rod, line guides and all) but I don't know how long it will last. Should work fine for moderate use. If there are moderate to heavy winds, the light swaying about might get annoying too. That said, I plan to rig up a sturdier telescoping semi-permanent mount for my Tacoma so its not a major issue for me. I would not expect the light to endure permanent outdoor mounting, but a bit of rain here or there while deployed shouldn't hurt it

BRIGHT!
I received a stainless steel telescoping pole in my kit, no cheap fiberglass fishing rod, VERY PLEASED! I have no complaints, but would suggest or make changes:1) Lengthen the wires between lights.2) Add ability to turn on lights manually without the need for a the remote.3) Shorten the wing nuts/bolts, lots of thread that isn't needed.4) Add ability to adjust the angle of the lights when mounted a top of the pole.

Nice light
Bought the double light with the adjustable pole. Used this light on a recent camping outing to light up our area so the kids could play during the evening. At it's 25% setting, it lit up our area nicely, at 50% our area was bright enough to read a book, at full power, it almost looked like day.Only problem I found was the light panels are connected together by the wires, so when assembling the units, one of the panels dangle while you're putting one side on. After a quick mod of cutting and attaching a quick connect, I can now use either 1 or 2 of the panels., and it makes assembly easier. The other thing I didn't care for was the ground spike. It does hold the fully extended pole, but since it's a bit larger, it doesn't hold the pole straight, so unless you use cardboard or something, the pole won't stand straight. All in all though, it's a nice light that does its job and nothing a quick mod wouldn't make it better.

Very bright light
The LED panels are very bright and light up a large area. From what I have seen, these are one of the brightest lights available. I had some issues with the connector to the cigarette lighter but the seller was really helpful resolving it. As a tip: Cover the soldering points of the light panels with tape so that the risk of causing a shortage through the mounting screws is eliminated.

Thinking of buying a second one!
Love it! Pros: easy set up can literally use my small 1000mah small as a cell phone batter pack to power it with the usb cons : I wouldn’t leave in the elements! So have to set up and take down everyday! Wish there was a type of shield from outdoors weathers like fog mist and rain!

Great idea, needs some improvements.
Like...ConceptDislike...No mounting hardware included.Cables could have been longer. Once you set the desired height, it takes some strength and balance depending on how your using this. Insult to injury, the cable EASILY disconnects right as your to setup a falls smacking you in the face. The higher it goes the harder it is to keep upright. or "place" it in such a way it won't bow/bend.The support stake isn't solid or long/tall enough to help support the light in NORMAL WEATHER CONDITIONS.would not use in wind/rain conditions.Placing this on my roof rack will require a custom mount/braket/post.
