I've thrown caution to the wind for too long when it comes to using my phone on kayaking trips so I decided to pick this float up alongside a waterproof case for a recent weekend of camping and paddling. I was skeptical due to the weight of the iPhone 12 Pro but surprisingly it worked to keep it afloat in my quick test. Go figure, of course my phone stayed put the entire trip so I didn't need to use it 'for real.'That said I will say it was nice having the option to quick detach the float from the lanyard. I left the float on when my phone was set aside around camp as it made it quick to find, which was an unexpected convenience. However when I was on land and just needed to carry my phone in my pocket, I unclipped the float and it was out of the way.Cheap piece of insurance, highly recommend.

I used it with a Sea Life light with a GoPro attached and it does not support that much weight.

*Tiny Elvis voice*I received this item extremely fast. Needed it for work, ordered it Monday night and it was waiting on the doorstep of my house day on the Wed before Thanksgiving. I work for months at a time and often up to two years. Long story short, I didn’t even open the clear ziploc-like packaging, for this thing is absolutely HUGE. I suppose this is necessary to make a solid camera buoyant, but the size of this thing rendering it impractical is a comical understatement. I have a Fujifilm Finepix XP80 with a fraying lanyard. I’d return this thing if I had the time. Pro tip: read the size specs before purchasing; this product isn’t for everyone. I’m giving it a neutral 3-star review not only bc of its ridiculous size but also because I will never use it to assess its quality, durability and effectiveness.

Bought to use on a fuji camera. Works great and is very visible.

The padded strap is good but the camera attachment string isn't strong enough to maintain a solid connection between the floating strap and the camera. If you purchase this product, cut the plastic attachment from the fabric loop and replace it with a sturdier connector. Recommend manufacturer replace the current fabric loop at the end of the strap with a stronger nylon material and add a carabiner to attach the camera to that loop instead of the current string connector.

This waterproof camera float is actually a little bit bigger than I expected, but I guess that is good, because it's harder for it to get lost, we got this for my son who is 10 and is getting into photography, we got him a waterproof camera that he takes everywhere, so for that purpose is not easy to have this big handle all the time, but when he takes it to the pool it comes completely handy, it is bright yellow and that makes it super easy to spot and it certainly floats, so it does the job.The great thing about this float is that you can easily take it off or put it back on, it has a little clip that attaches to the string in the camera so when you are not using it close to the water, you just take that off and the camera fits back again into your pouch or pocket.

Great floating strap. Used it with my underwater camera on a trip to Hawaii and it worked great. The opening is just the right size to easily slip your hand through even when fumbling around in the water. It floats great, easily supporting my camera. It actually saved my camera a few times as it came out of my swimsuit pocket while snorkeling. I looked and saw the bright yellow strap above the water making it easy to locate. I'm not sure what type of foam is used inside the strap, but it dries very quickly, so you don't have a soggy strap in your beach bag. There is also a quick release clip on the cord so you can easily remove the floating part of the strap if you want to use your camera without the big, yellow float dangling off of it. Great price for an effective tool!
