Missouri MeerschaumPatriot Corncob Tobacco Pipe Straight

Probably the best of the MM cob series. I am partial to the look, for sure, but the overall quality, craftsmanship, and practicality cannot be ignored. The bowl is taller than most other cob pipes, which makes for a perfect wind block. Pack this pipe 2/3 full, and you're still able to light with a wooden match in moderate wind. The acrylic stem is more than adequate, and matches the look of the pipe perfectly. After twenty smokes so far, the stem shows no bite marks and the finish on the exterior of the cob remains perfect.Overall, and excellent value for the price. My philosophy for cobs has always been this; get a cob for each new flavor you want to try. My MMPatriot pipe is paired exclusively with Brigadier Black Gettysburg, and it's a match made in heaven.

This is my first corncob pipe so from first look it looks like a gnarly pipe! But they shipped the bent version instead of straight. It even says straight on the bag but oh well. It's not worth being upset over. Overall still pleased; I'll just have to get a straight tip.

I have been buying Missouri Meerschaum pipes for decades and can say with confidence, “the quality now is better than it has ever been in the past”. One trick though - put some honey in the bowl before you smoke it the first time that helps your cake start to build -

Good starter. Great for buying a bunch to give out at a bachelor party. Not as smooth as a briar but good still.

It works pretty well, but not really a fan of corn cobs. Prefer the briars.
