Love it! Looks great and sounds amazing using my makie Onyx 2v2 Preamp box! Love how it came with all attachments nessasary to set up with my mic arm stand. Definitely worth the money and great for many types of mediums. Great audio clarity and vocal pickups. Sensitivity is designed for orchestras and instruments so use with low audio input when vocal recording. Solid metal frame maker it very durable.

I really like this microphone. Stunningly good build quality, great shock mount, selectable polar pattern, and a really good case. However, when I got it, it put out a pretty loud 60Hz hum that got much worse when my hand got near the mic. It was upsetting, because I thought it was a poor quality mic. I even went through the return process and got a RMA from Amazon. Then I noticed that when I wiggled the XLR cable a little bit, sometimes the hum went away, and the mic sounded really good. On a whim, I took the housing off the bottom, which wasn’t difficult. Basically just unscrewed and removed the bottom ring. I didn’t “do” anything inside the mic, and I didn’t unscrew the capsule or remove the basket. I put it back together, and it’s been perfect ever since. No noise, no wiggling the XLR cable. And the sound is great for my needs. I’m not sure what changed when I disassembled it, but something definitely did. I bought it as an inexpensive way to add a figure-of-eight pattern for use in mid-side recordings, but it sounds really good in the cardioid pattern. Overall, this is a great value for a durable microphone that sounds very good.

First off, I do voiceovers and voiceacting as a second job. The one thing that seemed to be impacting the quality of work I was landing was the noisiness of my recording setup. While I use a very good USB, the AudioTechnica ATR2020, every fan my workstation used was in the background. I created a custom recording booth lined with sound proofing tiles and a cover, still heard all the noise. Switch to a laptop to see if the problem was ambient sound or mic sound - boom, it was the digital sound through the mic. Once I did a lot of testing, I decided to try an xlr with an xlr to usb input. I tried a couple, wasn't happy with the vocal tones or the noise levels, then I took a chance on this one since it was on sale and under my budget limit. With this and the Neewer xlr to usb converter, it worked perfectly. Barring me forgetting to turn on the xlr converter - powered, by the way - I've had no problems with it. The sound quality goes well with my alto voice and despite living off a busy main street, the directionality is perfect at keeping noises outside the house off my recording. I use an Altron pop filter enclosure to keep things as silent as possible and have been very happy with the overall vo results. And so have my clients because bookings are the real metric for me. Less auditions + better clients = win. You still need to know how to clean your noise levels but all in all, just a fantastic mic for midlevel vo actors or podcasters.

Primero y vamos a lo importante, SUENA MUY BIEN, es un microfono muy limpio y con poca coloración, PERFECTO para esta epoca en la que quieres moldear el sonido luego de grabar, con esto tienes una bandeja de posibilidades para moldear el color al que quieres llegar. Segundo, su construcción es solida, se hacen notar los buenos materiales con los que AKG se ha hecho famosa. Tercero, Sus patrones polares aportar gran versatilidad si este sera el unico microfono condesador que tengas en el estudio. Si estas revisando las reseñas de este microfono es porque muy posiblemente quieras usarlo para capturas de voces y dejame decirte que es perfecto para esto, si bien cualquier micro puede tener el efecto de proximidad, en este no esta tan marcado en su curva de EQ y eso es algo positivo, tiene una diafragma grande que soporte una buena presion sonora, asi que no te preocupes mucho por la saturación, asegurate de ajustar bien el nivel de entrada en la tarjeta de audio y obtendras capturas impecables. En fin le doy 5 estrellas porque cumplio con las necesidades de mi home sudio

Que dire déjà il est super pour mes appels pro, les sessions de jeux en ligne avec mes amis, et même pour streamer. Il capte un son clair et précis, ce qui rend la communication beaucoup plus fluide. J’aime aussi sa simplicité d’utilisation, il fonctionne sans prise de tête. Que ce soit pour discuter, organiser des réunions à distance ou jouer, il fait très bien le job et améliore vraiment la qualité sonore par rapport aux micros de base. Parfait pour un usage quotidien !

I bought this for work during the pandemic, as I have to do a lot of online talking and recording. I took the time to sit down and compare this to my Meteor mic and my built-in MacBook (what else is there to do during the pandemic?). I was really surprised. By comparison, my built-in MacBook mic sounded like I lived in a big steel drum: lots of ambient noise and unwanted reverb. The Meteor was noticeably quieter than the MacBook, but it still had a high level squeal/hum in the background. When switching to the AKG, the hum largely disappeared. I say “largely” because nothing is totally silent. By comparison, this thing is amazing. I’m not a professional musician or podcaster, but I have played my acoustic guitar straight into this, and I’ve done dozens of recordings of my speaking voice: it sounds really, really clean. My main recommendation for a good mic is that if you’re doing a lot of online material (teaching, podcasting, recording), the ability to eliminate that background noise will save your listeners literal headaches. You may not notice it right away, but if you listen for an hour or two, it’s likely going to grate on the listener. Coupled with my Scarlett interface, this thing does everything I could want it to do. That said, I’m not a professional in audio at all. So more discriminating ears might find fault with this. However, I do not.
