Don’t recommend this if you truly want to monitor pulse ox sats.
Device is horrible. Got it because my finger pulse oximeter wouldn’t read on a dog. It is completely inaccurate with its readings and can’t be relied on for accurate SPO2 readings on your dog or cat. I highly recommend against purchasing this and paying this much for the device. Photos are attached to show it read me as 68% which would pretty much mean I’m dead, and it kept picking up readings when it layed on inanimate objects like I show in photo 2, where it picks up a 79% not attached to any person or animal. Obviously there is something wrong with this device and can’t be relied on. I’ll be sending it back.

sensitive
It can be difficult sometimes to get it to work. It seems tiny movements make it lose the signal. It's great when it works.

Not worth it
When tried on a human finger, it gave very inaccurate results. The sensor also took too long to present a reading. The whole thing looks and feels very outdated. When tried on a cat's ear, it took way too long to present a valid reading. Even with short white fur, the sensor struggled to get a reading. And just a slight movement threw it off to a restart. Unless your animal is completely comatose, this is useless.I think you are better off checking the color of gums visually or buying a $1000 professional unit. I think most of us would probably just check gum color.
