The Walking Dead, Zombie Makeup Kit Palette Face Paint NEW! by Wolfe FX

I love Wolfe face paint and this kit was a great deal! The size of the cakes are a bit smaller than in some other kits, but a little goes a long way when using these water based paints. I would guess this palette could paint at least 20 faces. This kit is very similar to the  Wolfe F/X 6 Color Palette - Monster , and it would seem silly to own both as 3 colors in this kit are identical and one is very similar. I have described the 6 colors below as the colors in the image aren't entirely accurate. I've also included pictures of face painting I did to raise money for our local children's hospitals this past year. All of the paints used are from the Walking Dead, Essentials and Monster palettes.If you have never used this sort of face paint before, these basically work like water color. You can very the intensity of the color by using slightly more or less water, or by building the color up in layers. For large area application I recommend patting the color on with sponges (wiping will give you streaks) and then doing your detail work with a paint brush. These paints are easily removed with water or baby wipes, which makes correcting mistakes easy. The color is thin and matte giving a realistic appearance. It doesn't crack like some paints and once dry doesn't wipe off just by touching it. If your skin isn't particularly oily, then this makeup can easily last all day.1. dark violet (like a nasty bruise; great for around the eyes)2. golden brown (this color is more brown than the ochre cake in the Monster Palette and more yellow than the brown in the 12 color Essentials palette)3. pale flesh tone (to a ghostly pallor, especially on more tan skin, or to soften and blend bolder colors)4. light grey (the picture looks blue, but this is the same light grey from the Monster palette)5. burgundy (also the same color as in the Monster Palette, this color is dark and reminds me of red wine, works well for blood, but looks better mixed with a little brighter red)6. charcoal (same dark gray as monster palette)

I was looking for an inexpensive halloween/FX makeup kit that came with more subtle colors. Most of the kits I looked at were black, white, and bright red, making it hard to get "realistic" results. The colors in this kit worked well to achieve what I was looking for. Being water based makeup this is a little difficult to use - too dry and you don't get much color, too wet and it can run or be difficult to blend. For an inexpensive kit however, this is to be expected.

Unable to use

save your money. this was so dried out the individual pallet squares were actually cracked in half. It was 2 hours before a party that this was discovered...I had to crush the dried out makeup and add it to any cream base that I thought would work. walking dead should be embarrassed by this license.
