Healing With the Fairies: Messages, Manifestations, and Love from the World of the Fairies

A great read
This book is such a great read, I read it through in one sitting. Doreen has a knack of putting sequences of events together that connect together so intricately that the reading momentum generated makes the book hard to put down. 'Healing with the Fairies' is a deeply personal and intimate account of how she got to know and create a viable relationship with the elemental kingdom of fairies, gnomes and leprechauns. It is a kingdom whose reality is not to be acknowledged publicly, despite institutions like Findhorn and Perelandra. After her immensely successful work with the angels, it seems that these beings appeared to her clairvoyantly and made friends with her in order to get her to work with them in their task of upholding and maintaining the delicate balance of life in our environment. And she goes on to explain how her relationship with the fairies, helped her to attract into her life, her very first love and present husband Steven Farmer, with whom she was much better matched, both mentally and professionally, at that point of time than her earlier mate, Michael. The intimacy of detail in the situation which Doreen Virtue finds herself in adds a special dimension to this book. It validates strongly the presence of other dimensions to our consciousness. Also that those inhabiting these dimensions need us and that our own lives would be tremendously enriched if we but acknowledged their being, instead of staying put in the somnambulistic denial mindset of an automated society, driven by the clock and the lure of profits. This is a book where we actually see this kind of life experienced by a real, living person and gives this narrative, its vibrancy. One profits more from such an account than if one had read about the basic principles from a more intellectual tome. The playfulness of the fairy kingdom was what got to me the most. It is an energy that is less and less visible today, we have learned to be serious about our survival concerns, bent on making money and our way up in the world, so we can 'relax' later. We don't even have time for our children whom we have learned to 'discipline', so they turn out to be 'good citizens' of society doing what they are told. This book is one which reminds us once again of 'the lilies of the valley' and the 'birds in the sky' who hath not a 'care for the morrow'.The afterglow of this book lingered around me like a warm blanket. I felt compelled to communicate with the fairies myself to help me with issues in my own life. Though I can't say I've solved my problems entirely, I CAN say that I've started looking at my own pain from other angles and asking different questions. A pleasant and refreshing breeze has started to blow as I learn how to follow the path and see where it takes me.

Introduction to the Fairie realm
This was an enjoyable read. I had previously skimmed through the reviews and noticed that those that gave it a low rating was due to the lack of Fairie content in the book. I ordered it expecting it to be scarce so I wasn't expecting much. I found this to be thoroughly entertaining. Yes, the author does infuse her personal experiences and turmoils as she's getting to know the Fairie and Elemental realm, but I found that to be easy to digest. I related in many ways and was able to apply my own similar experiences with hers. We all go through relationship break ups and forge new relationships with someone better. We're simply growing and evolving. How she manifests is similar to what I do. I was also able to relate to being with someone who doesn't necessarily support your beliefs and you feel isolated and grow further apart from them. She seemed to attract in the right kind of guy afterwards who is also invested in the Earthly elemental realm which she was just getting into.If you've got a big heart for love and relationships, then you'll enjoy this book. I think where the disappoint may lie for some is that yes it's called, "Healing with the Fairies" and yet the Fairie content is considerably minimal. It does have enough insight into the Fairies to make this a good introduction to the Elemental realm, because before this book I didn't believe in Fairies. Now I wonder if its possible. She also covers Tree People, dolphins and a hint of mer-folk. I was still left wondering what the difference was between the Angels and the Fairies was since what the Fairies can assist us with, the angels can also help with too. I rated this 5 stars because I enjoyed it and couldn't put it down until I was done. I had just gone through two other books before this where I had a difficult time getting into. I was surprised that this was one a page turner and kept me intrigued until the end. It's an easy, fun light read and makes you want to just hang out in nature afterwards.

I have experienced this
I think this is by far the best book by Doreen I have read so far. I loved her personal story and how she divorced and met her soul mate. I am going through a divorce, and am looking for my soul mate, so it is really inspirational. However, the best thing is, once I read about contacting fairies and acknowledging them, I tried it and they contacted me! After reading about them and calling to them in my mind, I was standing at my sink brushing my teeth, and I kept feeling something ticking my lower leg. I kept thinking it was a hair or something and tried brushing it off several times, but the sensation kept coming back and even more forceful. Then, while laying in bed that night I started talking to them in my head and I again felt the tickling sensations all over my legs, feet, arms and body. I felt them "cleaning" out my aura and felt and still feel small muscle spasms when they do this. They seem to only come when I call them. But sometimes I'll get a twitch in my foot while I'm working and it's like they are reminding me that there is some cleaning to do!I am dealing with a lot of negative energy from my soon to be ex, so I am really greatful to these fairies for helping me. I do believe they are working to heal my energies and move me forward to finding my soul mate.I never thought I would believe in fairies, but I am certainly a believer now! I've been taking more care of my houseplants and I feel they are rewarding me for this. I feel blessed. My life is happier. If anyone has personal experiences with fairies or would like to comment on what I wrote, please do so!

Best
To the author, though she may have changed her mind about her views - Thank You for writing this book.I love it. It is better than any other book.Just a few things:She believes that she manifested her marriages, with no consideration for the man’s choice and life path. Actually, we can’t manifest a relationship because it involves another life. It’s a fundamental misunderstanding of how relationships work on a spiritual level. We can’t control others: what happens is for a reason. The author seems to have lived a privileged life and the problems she mentions are not things that would be difficult to overcome, not even really problems, just things. There are no serious problems that would be really difficult. There are also a couple of stories about her excruciating students’ childish exclamations, inappropriate laughing at people and even fake sucking up.It’s only small paragraphs a couple of times and the rest is brilliant, purely.I don’t mean to put the author down. I love this book.I just wonder that someone so privileged seems to find it all so easy, when for some the same situations are so, so much harder. But her story is so encouraging and so uplifting. On the whole, though, interesting journey she’s had and one of the best things I’ve read! Love it.

A gateway to a new portal of spiritual possibilities
A gateway to a new portal of spiritual possibilities that opens up your life to things that really matter. A beautiful piece of work by Doreen Virtue that helps you with a refreshing perspective towards the mysteries of the universe. One of my favorites, for sure.

Wonderful book
I have loved reading this book, continuing the story of Doreen Virtue's life and spiritual journey. She shares with us her discovery of the elemental kingdom in all its forms, including fairies, dolphins, mermaids and bush people. I like her style and teachings because her almost diarised approach to writing helps readers to place her experiences in the context of her daily lifestyle. Her vulnerability and 'normal-ness' comes through, as she recalls her lack of confidence to do every day things such as joining a yoga class, and feeling anxious about what to wear. She is down to earth in her writing style, and yet the channelled teachings are so starkly different from her own words, I believe she is a genuine article. And perhaps for those who think that she is 'away with the fairies', it may be that she has just opened her mind to a greater expanse of awareness, and can therefore see and interact with much of what remains invisible to the naked eye. I like her teachings and am a great fan. She brings light and hope into the world.
