Ordered because a old sonny tape player I had was so old the rubber bands that moved the mechanism inside where busted and old/ Was ableto fix it

This is a great variety of belts for vintage (maybe modern?) tech. My use case was for a vintage Commodore cassette drive. One pack of these should last my lifetime in the hobby of restoring old tech, let alone two! The belts seem good enough quality, fairly thick and the ones I have installed have worked without issue. Overall, very happy with the purchase. Just as a side note, a “repair kit” of belts for that Commodore cassette drive on specialty sites costs 3x more for 2 individual belts than these. I have purchased those in the past and see no discernible difference between them.

There were plenty of sizes to choose from. It only took a minute to look through the bands and find one that was toe correct length.

I could not find the exact length and thickness of the belt I needed but overall it was a good selection. If the belts were slightly thicker it would be helpful.

I recently received an ebay alert regarding a 1981 Sony M-1000 microcassette recorder/player complete in box with all manuals and accessories for $110 on ebay. The next day i received an ebay alert regarding rare metal tape compatible blue version 1982 Sony M-80 Soundabout Stereo microcassette recorder with AM/FM radio with jacket cover for $150. So i purchased both of course.The Sony M-1000 was playing too slowly and there was a lot of flutter. So i opened it and noticed that the larger of the two belts were way too loose and had gone a bit dry after 38 years. After searching online i found a way to purchase about 90% of all servicable parts yet the belts were a mystery to find.I commented on youtube video comment sections regarding the belt but never received a reply. So i took tge chance and purchased this 100 pack of square shapped belts on Amazon. They are a lot of belts (100) for this price is an incredible deal. These belts are a little thicker which still fit into the mltor and capstain pulley just fine. I was so happy to find a much improved belt compared to the original one that had stretched and dried over such a long time.My recently purchased Sony M-1000 is now recording and playing back stereo music thanks to the new belt in this kit. If my Sony M-80 ever needs a new belt i have 99 left over from this kit.If you like repairing vintage tape devices that use square belts i recommend this kit.
