Belly Band Support Belt and Strap Postpartum, C-Section,Hysterectomy and Hernia by AbdoMend – (Size Small)

The Size was too big for me even though I followed the measurement chart that the company provided. The material is very soft and comfortable but belt itself was way too bulky and didn't give enough support. I ended up using the binder that the hospital provided. I can't not return it since I already opened and washed it.. So I wasted $75...

Best thing I ever got! If your getting a c section the you need this band .. My sister in law recommended it to me because she didn't have one and I can't believe the difference, I wore it all week in hospital and about 2weeks after coming home. It makes you feel held in and not as loose as right after surgery. This fabric was comfortable and did not stretch out, I am really small and it fit great but if you are on the bigger size I would recommend getting one size bigger because you want it tight.

The AbdoMend Bikini Belt gave me great support in the recovery process after my third C-section. My son is almost 8 weeks old and I still wear it for support when driving or doing work around the house. I wish I had known about it sooner, it would've been very helpful in hospital when picking bub up and moving around straight after the C-section! It can be very hot though but still recommended!

I have not been impressed with the AbdoMend Bikini Belt. It puts the most compression pressure around my hips and higher up. The part that covers my incision is relatively loose and not great support. It also doesn't stay in place and has to be adjusted throughout the day. I had the more common horizontal "bikini" incision. It might be more helpful for women who have the "classic" vertical incision, since that is higher up. However, in general I'd recommend skipping this purchase. Also, unfortunately, the company that sells these products (Abdomend) won't accept returns on any opened product "for health reasons," so there is no way to try it on (even over clothes) without committing to the purchase.

My experience with the Abdomend Binder and Strap Belt was disappointing. 8 days after my c-section I realized I could really use the extra support. I read all the info on the website, carefully followed the sizing guidelines, and placed my order that day (I measured 38 inches and ordered a size small). The product arrived in a few days. Unfortunately, it was much too large to be effective. I measured again to see if there was any significant change in my measurement since I placed my order, it was the same 38 inches. When I wrapped the binder around me, the velcro tabs that were supposed to connect, just passed by each other because the strap was so long. I pulled the binder as tight as I could and linked the velcro together at the last little bit of the strip. The binder still had enough slack to slide around and did not provide any support. I returned the product for this reason, but after losing $11 in original shipping charges, plus the vendors $20 restocking fee, plus my cost to ship the item back, I experienced almost a 50% loss of my total cost. I wrote to the vendor and they are currently considering refunding the restocking fee (I'm waiting on a response, and will update later). So far they have been good about responding to my emails and I appreciate their consideration. Best case scenario, I lose the cost of the shipping fees. Overall, I would recommend corresponding with the vendor BEFORE placing your order to make sure you are getting what you need.

I have tried several different kinds of c-section bands/girdles/waist clinchers and this one is by far the best. Some i paid close to $100 and they were uncomfortable. Most common issue was that they are for someone with a longer torso and I'm pretty average at 5'5" and my torso is normal length. I returned them all I tried this one and I LOVE IT!! Super soft so it didn't push my chest up to my throat like the others when i sat down. I can wear it all day and it's comfy. I noticed a difference the next day! My tummy was rounded out and next day started to flatten. The extra band really pulls in the overlapping bulge you get from a c section and it won't hurt you if you still have stitches. I had a silicone patch over mine and used the band over it with no issues. I've been using it for a month and i can actually see the bulge over my incision go down where i can see the scar. I highly recommend this and the price was the best around! Also customer service is fantastic!

It hugs your stomach so gently and feels so cozy. Great support, but the only bad thing is it stretches really fast and you will find yourself ordering another one:-)

I got this after my C-section and I wished I had gone with something else. It was extremely bulky and could be seen under my clothing. It did not give me the support or the coverage I was hoping for. I cannot imagine ever passing it on to another person because I stretched it all out. It worked to make me feel a bit more secure initially but I would opt for something more like a girdle should I ever have to go through that kind of surgery again.
