The 2 stand out areas for these lights is Build quality ...(like a tank) well put together design, and from very solid materials. The 2nd, is quality and Quantity of light they produce. Right on the money in terms of color temp (5000kelvin and the Quantity (lumens, lux etc(.) Is quite robust, these lights have the most lumens per watt( (efficiency) of any of the lights I have Ever bought before. As a side note, one of the lights took on some water from a local flash flood we had and Lightdot responded immediately, providing a replacement. I added a bit of silicone along the back panel seam, another big rain and not a drop got inside. I can easily reccommend these lights

Big improvement over incandescent. Both these to replace two 150 W incandescent bulbs in a fixture that had burned out into locations. They were fairly straightforward to install color codes matched wiring in house copper white and black so no issues there I would recommend using some type of lever type crimp connection if working at heights it seem to make life easier. The lights were extremely bright and lit a fairly large area compared to the two 150 W bulbs they replaced. There should be quite a bit of energy savings with these bulbs versus the old incandescent lightbulbs so should be well pleased with that. If they last as long as the incandescent bulbs they replace I will be well pleased. The LED technology has made lighting so much better and these do a very good job.

These lamps are nice and bright! They are also quite heavy. I would not rely on the pipe thread mount to hold these up, unless they are protected from the wind. The light is made quite well, but most outdoor electrical box cover plates just aren't thick enough. After I attached the lamp to the threaded hole in the box cover, I took measurements from the siding to hink sink fins on the lamp housing. I welded up some brackets out of 1" angle iron, drilled thru the bracket and the outermost heat sink fins on each side of the lamp housing and bolted them together with 10-32 machine screws and nuts. Then I secured the bracket to the siding using a couple 1/4" lag screws and silicone. I am planning to mount the other light I bought using a threaded coupling welded thru a plate since I do not have a junction box at that location yet. Figure I can bolt the plate to the outside, have the welded coupling stub thru the wall sheathing into the attic and mount a j box on it with a coupling nut. Hope this helps anyone else!

I ordered two of these flood lights a few weeks ago. Wired the two lights on a 3-way circuit...instant on and bright!I just ordered and received two more.I was disappointed in seeing the second set had photo eyes installed.I had to tape off the sensors and wire these on two separate single pole switches.There is a solid "three second" delay for these lights to come on!The lights in my order didn't show photo eyes included.By-passing the eye doesn't work!The brightness and quality build are acceptable....but the delay in start up time is not!I wish I had straight lights without the photo eyes.

These lights are amazingly bright, at least twice as bright as the 500w halogen floods they replaced. They are also about 2-3x as heavy as standard 500w halogen lights. Mine are mounted upside down hanging from eve so not a big issue, but if you are mounting them on a wall keep in mind that you'll probably want to add some sort of bracing. Very satisfied with light output and would definitely buy again. Would make awesome lights for mounting on pole for area lighting.

use caution wiring was smashed and bare also only 1 was damaged 1 had been installed so now i have to orher another 2 pack because not offered in singles a real pain

I think these were meant for a commercial installation.I wanted to replace an old motion sensor lamp that had those halogen bulbs. Where buying a new bulb was somehow more expensive than buying an entire new fixture with the bulbs and sensor in them.This is just the bulb. I picked up a round external electrical box to attach it to that. So there is no motion sensor. But I don't mind that either. I like how it stays on when I am in the yard now. The old motion sensor was super short range and would turn the light off if you were just out of its view range. And then the inconvenient having to dance around and wave your arms like an idiot to try to make the light turn on again.After having LED I will never go back to halogen bulbs too. This is bright but doesn't get as hot. And it is a nice sealed package. So there is not a bulb socket to get all corroded and then having to replace the entire fixture often too.

The work fine. I use them to see the paint jobs better at my booth and the are perfect for that.
