Amazingly simple to install without complicated electrical wire connections to the vehicle.The entire installation only took me less than 5 minutes just like I expected for this product.I've had some experience for installation of back-up cameras before. But even if you are the beginner,I guarantee it will take only a few minutes of your time for an entire installation.Because the package comes with only a monitor with a hidden antenna,  cigarette socket adapter type power cable for a monitor, a license plate cover camera, USB micro charging cable and an optional windshield mount which you could use for a front glass mount.The camera is very solid mount that doesn't obscure the license plate which I am very happy with. One touch controller is very responsive.The image is very clear both on a day and night.The monitor quickly pairs with the camera right after I plugged it into a 12V cigarette lighter socket.   Perfect.  So simple that you don't need to configure its pairing at all.Solar panel seems to keep the camera battery charged pretty well under this North West winter weather.For actual operations, you must touch the top of the monitor or a cigarette socket adapter handle as it powers up and turn on when you need a rear view monitoring even while driving.Once powered up, the monitor will display the camera image for about 30 seconds andthen turns off by itself.  I'm very pleased with this backup camera system.I'll post an update review of this product If I notice any issues.

I bought this backup camera for my older car and it was a good choice. Installation was very easy and quick. Just charge the camera initially with the supplied micro USB plug (power light will go off when fully charged), remove 2 bolts from the rear license plate with the supplied tool, place camera on the plate, and install it with the supplied bolts. No need to mess with any wiring or pay extra for professional installation. The sun takes care of charging the built-in lithium battery. The camera angle can be adjusted by selecting different clicking positions for the best viewing angle. The 4.3 in monitor installs easily with either window suction mount or a self-adhesive dash stand. Power to the monitor is supplied via a 12-volt DC cord (11.5 ft long), with the option to power on the monitor by either touching the top of the monitor or by touching the cigar lighter plug. The monitor is clear day & night and includes the following on-screen indicators: a camera battery capacity, solar charging, and signal strength. The parking guidelines are very useful and can be turned off if one so chooses. Image settings such as brightness, contrast, and color are all adjustable which is a huge plus. This unit is backed up by a 1 year warranty and outstanding customer service. Overall, this is a quality item with lots of features, quick installation, and best of all it can easily be switched out to another vehicle.

This is alright if you don’t want to mess with wiring. However, it takes forever to connect sometimes if it does at all, and the “wake up” function is very inconsistent, even with the rumble of my big truck turning on. So most of the time, I’m done backing up before the camera even starts up. However, it does what it says it does in that it is a solar powered wireless backup camera, and the picture is fairly good

The outside camera goes on the license plate and my only complaint about it, is that it covers the sticker on her license plate. Hoping that won’t get her pulled over. Changing that design would be my only criticism. Other than that we absolutely love it!We haven’t yet installed it as it’s going to be a Christmas gift for my daughter, however we have charged it and set it up in my car to see how it works. So far I absolutely love it!! Picture is great! My daughter is 17 and has an older SUV. This is gonna be amazing for her. I’m very pleased so far with it. I’ll add more information as we use it and I’ll also add pictures once we have it set up in her car.

I’m using the back up camera on my 2012 Jeep Patriot which has the same hatch back until 2017. I have no problem accessing the latch. It seriously works as described. I fully charged the battery overnight and for 3 weeks now it’s still showing a full charge. Took a little more than 5 minutes to install but the camera and display linked up immediately. Great picture with never any fuzziness or interference.

It might work fine on a car but didn’t stay connected on my pickup truck

Does not consistently work, I keep a battery pack in the trunk and keep it connected to the frame and it works better but still doesn't always connect to the screen probably 75 percent of the time it does. Without the battery pack it was more like 25 percent. I bought it for my 29 foot motorhome but doesn't work well enough in the car to put it in the motorhome.

The media could not be loaded.  This camera system is super easy to install. Secure the license plate camera by the four bolts, peel off the double sided tape on the monitor mount, plug in the power cord to the monitor, and plug in the cigarette lighter and you are ready to go. The monitor is surprisingly bright and easy to see when mounted on the dash. You have the option of turning off the camera lines if you wish.
