I have bought this leash in 2 sizes simply because I love it THAT much. We’ve been working on reactivity training here and there and it was so severe that we had to start out on the herm sprenger and an e-collar. A while ago I decided to swap out the flat collar leash for a simple slip like this and it has made walks even better. Granted, he quickly picked up on prong & e-collar training, so this was an easy transition for us, but I find myself feeling a lot more secure knowing he cannot slip out of this lead. He can now walk just fine with only the slip and e-collar in heel and this lead is great way of being able to communicate leash pressure without worrying about any choking when he pulls (like he did on the flat). 100/10 would recommend buying this slip even if you don’t have a reactive dog. It’s easy to use, durable, and the only leash I use now. I will say I did use the larger slip to begin with on my lab, but it was a bit large in my hands so I switched to the smaller one instead. It is a lot more comfortable to hold and is just as sturdy as the thicker one.

I have a 90 pound English Cream Golden who is a very hard puller. I tried various harnesses to no avail. Then I decided to give this one a try. At first it was even worse than a harness, because he would pull so hard that he was gagging for air. I was about to give up until I read the trick to doing it correctly posed by HotFlashV in the reviews (thank you, thank you, thank you!). You want to loop it around their neck, THEN take the rest of the leash and wrap it around their body behind the front legs and back through the neck loop. You end up creating a harness, but way better. You may need to order a longer leash to do use this technique, the 6ft was too short, but the 8ft was perfect. He's much easier to walk now, just a very slight tug to keep him from pulling, and best of all, no gagging for air.

This is my second one. The first is still holding up okay except the leather part got chewed up after kids played tug-a-war with the dog using the leash.The handle is very comfortable to hold and the length is just right.

I haven’t had the leash long enough to attest to the durability of it but so far it’s definitely been wort the price. I have a 85 lb male bull dog and this definitely doesn’t slip off his head nor does it choke him. I recommend this product. The price is amazing for the product I received.

It’s especially important that you use it as a harness, thanks so much to the other people in the comments who showed how to use it this way! It’s fantastic, she used to lunge and so hard pull constantly and I’ve tried several nopull leash options with no luck but now after this she can walk just fine!

I volunteer at our wonderful local (no kill) Humane Society. It is not a picnic to reach into a kennel and try to grab the collar of a dog hell bent on charging out. The clip leashes are fine if you can wrangle a strong dog long enough to find the metal loop on the collar and snap the leash clip onto it. With this type of leash you can almost “lasso” the dogs neck if you open up the end wide enough to easily slip it’s neck into and then just grab hold of the leash and pull. Even if you are able to get ahold of the collar, you then can slip the loop more easily over the dog’s head. You don’t have to search for the metal ring on the collar to snap on a clip on leash.If you want to use a clip on leash after getting the dog securely out of the kennel, you can easily do so as you already have the dog safe and controlled by the slip leash.If you simply want to stick with the slip leash, just slide the securing tab down to keep the rope from sliding open which can sometimes happen with “wrigglers”.The quality of the rope material is top notch and far outlasts those made out of woven thread fibers. There is no choking either which is obviously very important.Highly recommend this leash for any and all securing and walking circumstances!

This leash is both cute and functional. I’ve received compliments on its cuteness. My only complaint is I wish the slip ring was just a bit bigger so it would loosen faster on its own. Now, it does a great job, I just have another brand that has a slight bigger ring that loosens better. This leash absolutely is great and the one I use the most due to its length and color.

I volunteer at our local shelter as a dog walker and this leash is terrific. It holds the strongest pulling dogs out there. Great quality and very durable. Will definitely order again.

Helped stop our dog pulling

Don't waste your money on other slip rope leashes, this was my 4th and final purchase. I bought from pet stores, other sellers on here and this is the first one that does the job it's intended for. Wish I would have started here.The adjuster actually holds in place which is key for this leash and it's comfortable to hold. A+

I bought this for my 4 month old Rotty to help with pulling and first time out it seems to have helped but my dog tries to chew this leash more than the other flat leash. It also doesn't stay up to the top of her neck (behind ears) possibly because the rope is to thick at this time, or maybe I don't have it tight enough. However from what I have seen online about these leashes you don't want it to tight (fingers fit between rope and dog). Maybe when my dog get bigger it will work better. Happy with the quality of the product and how it is put together.

This slip lead feels sturdy and has worked well with my 60lb foster dog so far! He peed all over it within a day and it STUNK, but the smell came out easily in the wash and the leash held up well. The only downside so far is that the locking tab is not very easy to move, even after a wash.
