Live in Alaska where many of us have our “summer and winter” cars Some are sportier and can only be used during the drier summer months while other are needed to drive in the snow and they are 4 wheel drive. Each season when we “put away our cars for the next season” my husband always puts several of these DampRid containers in each car to prevent mold and mildew from building up in the cars while under car covers and tarps to protect the vehicles from snow. The one year we did not use the product, when we opened up one car the interior was GREEN with mildew! Not a pretty sight or easy to clean. This prevents all issues. We buy at least two dozen or more for each season! They work wonders in homes and any other areas moisture can be a concern.

We moved some items in our room and found mold on the bottom of the wall. Very alarming to say the least. Searched for products on Amazon and settled on this one. We have been pleasantly surprised. Hubby cleaned the walls and we put one of these on top of the dresser. You could feel after 24 hours the difference in the air. We no longer wake up to the condensation on the windows either. Won't use these during the dryer months, but, for this wet winter, it's made a huge difference. We also air dry clothes on racks in our bedroom and it's helped with that without over using the product. The smell was a little strong at first but we seem to have gotten used to it. It wasn't an unpleasant smell, just, we tend towards more natural air fresheners in our home and this is very perfume smelling. We were impressed enough with the results in the bedroom the we also used one in the bathroom behind the toilet just to help with mustiness in the bathroom. It has helped with the feel of the air in the bathroom as well. Of course the bathroom has the greatest variance in humidity in the air, but, now the air just doesn't feel musty or stale. I have noticed a slight difference with condensation on the lotion bottles since putting this in the bathroom as well. These have been a game changer in our apartment this year. Will revisit restocking every winter just because it has helped so much.

I use Damp Rid to keep my basement laundry room dry as well as my entry way closets. The house is near the ocean and humidity in the area is often close to 90% or 100% in the summer. Damp Rid keeps moisture from building up in the areas it"s been put in. It also cuts out the musty damp smell. Easy to use. Recommend it for those places where needed to keep things dry.

I've used damp rid at my camp for years. Love it! It is an effective product for damp places. I didn't realize this particular one was scented. My allergies / asthma not usually tolerant of scented products. Trying in my closet, will see. Since I opened, I'm unable to return. A bit strong, but with the closet doors closed, okay. It did indeed work, clothes are fresh.

Of all the times these have come in handy over my decades, this time was the most effective. A closet in this apt has a basement stench we haven't been able to get rid of. We believe there must be a hole in the floor behind a duct that goes upstairs. Humidity renders this closet unusable but also infiltrates the bedroom with this stench. The landlady had basement work done solving water issues almost a year ago and has had a commercial dehumidifier in the basement ever since. Whatever is causing this must be in the wood. These where nothing short of a miracle today eliminating the smell. Relieved.

I’m using these buckets in my garage where moisture seeps in. I really liked the hanging bags for upstairs over the garage so figured I’d try these. These are refillable. Can be dumped in toilet once they fill with water. Says septic safe. Bags I toss in the rubbish. Nice smell.

Scared of mold? Don’t like damp, musty, bad smelling places? Don’t like BO? Oh wait, wrong review! Even if you do or don’t like BO, you won’t be judged here, but if you don’t like bad smelling musty rooms or humidity that turns every room into a smelly place to be then this is the product for you!

If you want The Box with 6 cups you have to order from a different seller. it comes in a Brown Box stacked. The actual cups are about 4" high or a little bit taller than that. If you want the Box that has 3 hanging bags there is a Box by the same seller that has the 3 packages in it. You're better off using the Ones that come in a cup if it's a small room. The larger room requires at least 4 at least 4 to get the moisture out and it takes approximately one to about 3 weeks depending on the size of the area you're trying to get the moisture out of.

Great find for getting rid of damp

These are very useful things. In a moist environment it's a great preventative against mould growth. Just don't knock them over by accident... Easy to refill.

Purchased the 6 pack of DampRid after all the floods here and found these to be extremely smelly and doesn't smell like lavender or vanilla. The actual DampRid is thinner and smaller than the usual size. The odour is is so smelly it reminds us of something you would clean the toilet with.
