Rinnai i150SN Condensing Gas Boiler, Whole Home Natural Gas Heater with Space-Saving Design and Smart Features, (150K BTU)

This specific Boiler is extremely efficient and cost-effective. I figure it to repay itself in 2.5 years. I have a second Rinnai Hot Water System mounted next to it. While a COmbi Unit can both heat my house and provide hot water, I chose to install two separate units. In that way, on a very cold day in the winter, I will not tax one unit at the expense of the other function. My water heater for home hot water reduced my home gas bill to below $10 in the sprint, summer and fall. With the increases in natural gas prices over the last 2-4 years, lI expect my investment in the boiler will be paid back in 2.5 years.

Be on the lookout for flash sales on this product. I purchased it at $1500 as it was on sale randomly. I would try to avoid paying the full price as their are a lot of parts still needed to install the unit. I have received 3 error "E-110" codes since install but nothing listed in the T/S manual is the cause except potentially the gas solenoid firing valve. Every time it was reset it ran flawlessly. We are continuing to monitor the unit and if it sends another error code we will seek replacement parts from Rinnai. I have heard of this happening to others so I think there was just a bad batch as normally the Rinnai products are exceptional.

These units are highly technical compaired to old boilers.You need a licensed plumber like i had to be the boss. I was the common laborer,gopher, ect. You shouldnt attempt it on your own . After buying this, we took out an old inneficcient unit, and replaced it . We spent over 1000 dollars on fittings, and tubing . The install went per the manual. I would recommend you purchase the pre made closed tee section below the unit, as it was time consuming to make up out of pieces. you will save an easy 8 hours doing this, and for 350.00, its well worth it. Doubt if we saved any money making our own.This unit heats my house well, and very quiet operation.

This Condensing Boiler was easy to set up, gives us comfortable heat. Very easy to use the controls. We bought two to handle the size of our home. They were shipped quickly and came in perfect condition. I would recommend Rinnai!

Purchased this for a new home that has in floor heat, water tubing that is in the concrete foundation. I did not install the unit. It is up and working and has been very efficient. The unit itself is built very well inside and outside. I have this unit installed inside of my garage. I am very pleased with this unit

Connected this Rinnai 150,000 btu solo boiler into an existing concrete pad with hydronic piping. Approx 3500sq.ft. of pad. The boiler heats the piping in the concrete pad indirectly through a plate heat exchanger with glycol on both sides of the system. A 400,000 btu plate exchanger was selected here. The boiler is extremely efficient with the turn down ratio and the ability to run with the eco mode button selected during warmer days. I have this boiler setup to run in central heating mode which detects the return water temperature to the boiler (no thermostats used in this mode). Works flawlessly. It is amazing how efficiently the heat transfer takes place inside of this boiler to increase the boiler supply temperature. I have always been a fan of Japanese engineering and design with regards to automotive etc.. so it is no suprise that this Rinnai boiler runs perfectly and I am expecting it to continue to do so for years to come
