The New Stations of the Cross: The Way of the Cross According to Scripture

Highly Readable!!
One of the best Lenten books I've ever read. I actually prefer the traditional Stations of the Cross, but these Scriptural Stations are also inspirational and thought-provoking. The author does an outstanding job of analyzing each station and driving home its purpose and impact. This is not fluffery or empty rhetoric-- it is interesting, captivating, readable and relatable. Read one chapter per day for a great journey through Lent and Christ's Passion.

Great Reference Book
This is a good book explaining the revised Stations of the Cross. Even if you're not Catholic, you will enjoy reading this. The New Stations are all scripture based, which to me makes a lot more sense than conjecture.

Transformational Reading
This book is excellent. McKenna leads the reader through each of the stations in a deeply meaningful way, engaging scripture and connecting our stories to God's bigger story around us. It is difficult to stay in just our own story, making the passion of Christ just about us as individuals. This book offers a lens through which to see other people's lives with compassionate action as it relates to Christ in the stations to the cross. To read this book is to be transformed.

Following scripture
Faithfully covers the new form for this rememberance of Christ's suffering and death before His final triumph and resurrection. Beautiful.
