I love these. I've now purchased 4 pairs to have anywhere I'm working or close by. My gf has taken a liking to them, so looks like I'm going to have to replace a pair...

After replying to the question," Do these rust ?", I realize I can tell all of you more.Here is my reply to that question : "Best little scissors ever. My first pair was issued to me on the job back in the mid 1980's. Permanent marked my name on the handles and managed to not loose them till about the year 2000. Since have tried several other similar scissors, but none stayed sharp or had the same hand feel. So happy to finally find these online.I keep mine in my front pocket of my tool belt along with a little Felco sharpener. Now and then I 'top off the edge', and to clean plant sap I use WD40 or machine oil and a little piece of steel wool.The trick is to not loose them. :) ".In addition, for those of you with hard or wrist problems but still wanting to garden, it's all about the right tool for the job. My arthritis and carpal tunnel has forced me to rethink how I do things, and these little scissors are one of my most used items. The hand grip is soft and gives just a tiny bit so theirs no sharp crunch when the cut is complete. Oh, there's still good days and bad days, but other similar tools can end up hurting me requiring a week or more to recover.I also use these regularly to pull weeds as I garden. Use one hand to grasp the weed at it base, then poke the ARS scissor tip into the soil at the base of the weed, slightly angled to the center of the weed. Gently pull up on the weed , while at the same time use the scissors to lift from below, resulting in hopefully the root and the weed coming up together. Not going to help with ginormous shovel worthy weeds, but as experienced gardeners know, weeding done often and regularly gives us manageable weeds that make great compost. Not having to go find a weeding tool when you notice a need has really helped me stay on top of things.I keep these scissors and a pair of good Felco shears in my tool belt ( look for lighter weight men's tool belts not garden aprons ) at all times, along with what ever else fits the season and am much better able to keep up with things as I age.Hoping this helps others adjusting to growing older and being able to continue loving their gardens.

It doesn't look like much but it works! After discovering how to hold it and rub against scissor blades, I was a sharpening machine. Seven pair of good scissors are now perfect.

This was my first time doing anything of this sort, sharpening my pruning tools. I used to just go ahead and buy another tool. Well, I have quite a collection of old and dull tools. Silly me. Ignorance is not bliss. It's expensive. Anyway, this whet stone turned out to be the perfect size for me to use. It stayed wet for a reasonable amount of time during the sharpening process. Since it did not come with a resting plate to keep it from slipping around I used an extra coarse wash cloth. For the curved blades, I picked up and maneuvered the stone instead of the blades. It's small size makes it easy to do this. That's probably cheating, but I didn't want to disassemble the tools since I am not sure if I could put them back together correctly. Seriously. I had so much fun sharpening I continued on with the three household scissors after finishing with all my pruners. Really a good buy for my maiden voyage into responsible tool ownership.

I have used this particular scissor for over 25 years. Quality still remains high which made me very happy after other products lost quality over the years. ARS brand is awesome! After trying others, this is still my go to favorite.Good steel blades stay sharp. Very comfortable to use when using for long periods of time. Perfect for flower arranging, as vegetable garden snips, grape scissors and other applications where small diameter stems are cut and precision is needed.Easy to sharpen and do need a light oil to protect the steel from rust.NOTE.. Do not try cutting ranges that are too big a diameter or just as with any primers the blades will spring apart too much.

These r great IMO IF you need flexibility of cutting, trimming almost size encountered with one shear and have many hrs. of work to do. For me, any spring loaded snips r prone to give me numbing in hands after awhile. I have learned the slide locks do not hold up for me. I prefer the ARS brand, have collection of varied ARS snips and some decades old but perform like those right out of the box. Working, just toss em in jar of alcohol and keep working then wipe em down and on i go. Oil and tighten screw every few yrs). Better than other bonsai or botanicals snips, ARS brand stays super sharp and admit have no problems if cutting fine, fine manicure or thru that massive main stem. These aren't the least expensive scissors but they are worth every penny. High quality. Never loses it's edge.Bulletproof. If you have a lot of trimming to do, I recommend these highly. You don't want ones with springs in them, they cause fatigue because you're exercising your hand against the spring.

Very good product. Only issue is that if after u use on some type Of plant u must wipe them down with some kind of oil or they will rust overnight. There is a similar brand out there that is coated. I don't have any rust issues with that brand.

Nothing to dislike. Bought to trim and cut our grapes which Are growing in the greenhouse
