Absolutely as described
This product is great as a slab-it-yourself option for comics. It's height and thickness dimensions are almost identical to slabs from CGC and seems very sturdy (treating it the same way I would treat a CGC comic slab. I only wish the company would actually certify that the centering plastic actually does offer significant UV protection. I think they indicated a consumer "confirmed" it is, but I would think it would be in the company's interest to get that aspect confirmed and certified. All in all, very pleased with this product.

A cost-effective alternative to CGC
I bought the single to test these out and was very satisfied. It’s easy to assemble and looks very similar to a professionally graded case. Will definitely buy a multipack next time, as I’ve got a lot of facsimiles to display.

Inefficient
Getting the case to seal shut was nearly impossible. I ended up using superglue to seal one side. It’s a great idea, but not worth the price.

Do it yourself comic slab a must purchase!!
This product is amazing. This is the first do it yourself comic slab I have seen. I love that you can customize your label. The top feature is that you can remove the comic after it has been encased. I highly recommend this to anyone who is serious or novice comic collector.

Good alternative to slabbing
The product itself is great. It's a great option for books that are valuable enough to go the extra mile to protect, but not valuable enough to go the extra two miles and get them graded and slabbed. It was easy enough to secure the book in the sleeve and then in the case. Even though my sleeve seemed scratched and scuffed up, once it had a book inside and was in the case you can't even notice it. It's visually pleasing, and fits in the same size box other slabs fit into. These are significantly thinner than the new CGC slabs. So more will fit in a box. Bonus! They are pretty rugged as well. I handed off the first one I did to a friend to show him and he promptly dropped it. Not a crack or scratch, no slippage of the book.I love the product and I'll be buying more. However, by the time you're done paying shipping for this product you've surpassed CGC's fees for grading and slabbing a modern comic. And if you're lucky enough to live near a convention, you can skip paying shipping for CGC and drop it right off with them. So the final cost for one of these ends up being right in line with getting it professionally done. You can pay slightly more and get your book professionally graded, and sealed, or you can save a few dollars and do it yourself. As an alternative to actually slabbing a book this is the only place it falls short in my opinion. If the case was slightly less, or they could get the shipping costs down, the value would be through the roof. These slabs have the added bonus of being resealable. So you can actually read your books, and change them out if something more valuable or cherished should come along. There are plenty of reasons someone would choose this route over professional grading so it comes down to personal choice. For me personally these are great for my "on deck" comics that are waiting to get sent out for grading.Another service offered is getting the headers designed for you. I guess you email them the information you want in your header and they will email you a copy of it that you then print yourself. It's not a bad service, but it's $13. It would be great if they offered a template so people could make their own for free on their site. Hell, I would have bought a file with a template if they offered it on their site. But to go back every time you want one and pay $13 if you can't happen to figure it out for yourself seems steep when added to the total after you're done with shipping. I had a friend who is in graphic design work up a template for me. They were printed on card stock and came out better than my CGC book's labels in my personal opinion. It's also extremely easy once the template is done to change the content on the header.A slight addition to my review. Last night these slabs sat in a box on a chair with slabs from CGC and CBCS. My cat knocked the box off the chair and it landed on it's side. I took the slabs out to look them over and only in these Comic Skin slabs did the books shift to be completely off center. I had to reopen the cases and re position the books inside. Kind of a bummer because now I can't trust these slabs to protect books that I ship.

These are great! Easy to use and look amazing. Perfect way to slab comics without sending them off to be graded. The seller is very friendly and responds quickly to questions.
