Worked right out of the box with my 2011 Kia Forte EX. I have a scanner / ECU programmer that made it easy for me, but if you dont have one you can get it done at the dealer.

Don’t buy it unless you like throwing money away

After receiving these remotes that the dealer wanted 125 dollars a piece I got 2 of them for a third of the price. Great quality and saved a ton of money. I then called a local Automotive Locksmith and within 3 minutes I had two working Key Fobs. I took my chances and everything worked like a charm.

Unfortunately I still had to have a dealership pair it to use it but I was not going to pay $300 just to get a keyfob for my car regardless of how much I’d love the convenience. Double check to make sure you aren’t going to need it done by a dealership first. Other than that it was exactly like the original keyfob that came with the car when I first bought the car

Bought these for my sons Kia, I was told that they weren’t a guarantee that they would be programmed. So I thought I wasted my money but I went to Batteries plus an hr from my home and they worked just fine and these key fobs worked better than the actual retail key that they were selling

I took my newly purchased remotes to two different auto dealerships and an automotive locksmith and neither could get them to work. The auto locksmith even told me what I had purchased was nothing but "Chinese junk" ! His words not mine. I missed my return window so I am unfortunately stuck with two useless remotes and out $32. Hopefully other buyers had better luck. I gave a rating of 1 star because no stars isn't an option as far as I can tell. Good luck and buyer beware!

got this for my bf because his key stopped working & it was great! although you do have to have a locksmith program it but other than that its great

Bought one for my car, which is compatible to a Kia 2013 Forte. Still trying to adjust it. At first it didn't work to lock it but it would unlock great. The more I work with it now its lining up with my dealers key fob which is locking now as well. Guess it has to line up when you install the old one properly. I'm sold!!!

I bought this fob for my 2010 kia forte. I took them in to be programmed for my car and the product number for programming is not a match for my car. But the number on the packaging is correct.I received refund and instructions and followed them. I’ve waited two weeks and contacted the seller for an update. They requested tracking information, which they did not instruct me to buy.UPDATE: I escalated the claim. They refuse to refund without tracking and are also refusing to refund because I reported them. I’ve never been asked to provide tracking to get a refund from an Amazon company. This purchase is a SCAM and they are smart by using the tracking despite not including that in the instructions to keep your money.Do NOT BUYThis product is more of a hassle than it’s worth.

Even though it stated it would work on my 2012 Kia Forte it did not. The dealer could not get it to work

Item was not compatible with my car as advertised in the add.However we had no problem returning it and getting a full refund.
