Bamboo pintail Deck Longboard Skateboard 44'' X 10"

I want to start off by saying that this is an incredible deck for the price. Though lighter than pictured, it is very attractive. Bamboo is a great wood for flex, and this delivers.There are some minor issues, however. First, my deck (and I may be the only one to have this problem) has holes that are drilled incorrectly (too near each end of the deck). When trucks are lined up, the wheels do not hit anywhere near the wheel cutouts (very nice cutouts, might I add). To compensate, I drilled two holes toward the center for each of my trucks, and it seems to work just fine. Also, one of the holes which I did not use had a minor imperfection at the drilling site. The gullwing trucks I used have holes 1/4 inch past the drilled holes in the deck, but all trucks are different (and I made my own holes anyway so it doesn't matter).So in summary, this deck may require some alterations but nothing at all major. I recommend it fully as it is a great price and an extremely nice deck. 4/5 stars.

The Board is super flexy and comfortable to ride. Name brand flexy bamboo boards aren't as bouncy as this board, also name brand boards bow upwards, to compensate for the amount of dip. This board will bow down after the first use, you might try flipping it the first use to make it bow upwards, but I figure there is not fixing that problem. As a result the board looks bizarre when ridden because it dips so much. It bottoms out on speed bumps and you may have to consider weight. I'm at 170lbs, but my friend who plays football he is at 230lbs it just didn't wok for him the board couldn't keep him suspended off the ground. This board is ridiculous for foot peddling. It absorbs most of the momentum when you kick, as a result you can't efficiently across flat grounds. It is a big board I drive a hatch back and it barely fits in the rear cargo compartment. I found it most fun at carving downhills. I had trucks just under a 10inch hanger, and had no chance of wheel bite, and now I have double kingpin sidewinders which also don't have wheel bite.

This is not a performance review but rather on the product material. I’ve purchased several longboards from this seller and they have all been great. I buy blanks because I am a visual artist who paints and carved designs onto the bottom of the deck. The bamboo material is very sturdy and is perfect for the type of art I do. My cravings aren’t very deep so you don’t lose a lot of material in my designs. I’ve sold a couple of boards and my customers have never complained about the structural integrity being compromised. Here are photos of the latest one I’ve done. I’m not much of a skater, myself although I am an avid snowboarder. I’m keeping this one and plan to ride it. I will update this review after I’ve had some experience riding it.

The board look great and has nice flex. I've had the board for a couple of months now and use it as a commuting vehicle so it is never put through a lot of abuse. I can see a couple of cracks starting to make their way down the board which is concerning. It's fine for the price

The board is durable, has medium flex, and rides wonderfully.BUT; one of them had indentions on the topside of the deck. I covered it up with grip tape, but if it had been on the bottom I would have been pretty mad.This is an excellent board blank.

I ordered this board thinking that something must be wrong with it for such a low price. It turned up and was surprisingly beautiful, very well finished especially compared to the likes of the Carve-one boards. So my only remaining concern is that perhaps somehow it won't stand up to a good thrashing? I'm going to do like another reviewer said and put a layer of fiberglass on it for strength. Only time can tell so I've ordered 4 more to take back to NZ with me! If the first one can handle my friends riding it hard over a year then I'll do some custom artwork on the other 4 and either sell them or give them to friends! The world needs more good quality affordable boards like this so that everyone can ride.

My son is 5'8" and 145lbs so the last thing we expected was to have the board he wanted for Christmas crack down the center as soon as he set it up! - he ordered it based on the positive reviews so I am guessing we got one of a badly made bunch

Super high quality, lovely color and feel. I thought I needed grip tape at first but it works fine without it, though I added some personal touches on top with some tape and it makes pushing a lot easier.Assembly is simple and fast once you get your trucks and wheels had no issues. Unless you count your mom wanting to ride it and issue.
