These pots were easy to install and work great. Wiring diagrams were spot on and the difference in quality from the inexpensive guitar I had purchased is night and day. Great sound and feel. Input jack is solid and holds cord plug much better than the original!

Easy to assemble - but I have considerable experience soldering from a prior assembly line job.Installed Bill Kircher-style with reverse knob layout and a Musiclily black control plate on a Squier Bullet Tele that was acquired as a mod platform.Sound after installation shows definite improvement over the original dime pots and lack of tone bleed, and that's even with the original ceramic pickups.Pickup upgrade is next month's project.Internally, I used spade connectors so I can swap out the pickups easier without soldering and with less chance of scratching the finish (for a Squier it's pretty nice).Complaints from others about static or noise are probably a result of a bad solder joint or other bad wiring connection.

Really good kit just wished it came with the cap for the switch but other than that the wiring diagram was easy to understand and the pots the bleed resistor is a good option to include

One of the reviews commented on how it woke his CV tele up. I can now confirm that. It is a night and day difference. For any one thinking about upgrading the CV telecaster pickups, do this upgrade first. I was thinking about a pickup upgrade, but will pass on it for now. Stock pickups work just fine once the pots get upgraded. I may do it on the future if I decide to go to noiseless pups. You will have to drill out the control plate as the CTS pots are not metric and the diameter is slight bigger, or just order a new one. Be sure to check the dimensions as not all control plates are the same. The input Jack plate is fits good so no upgrade needed there.

Absolutely, hands down, the best wiring kit for a telecaster out there. Everything from the the pots to the switch was top level quality. Comes with two options for wiring, either vintage waxed or modern and the output jack is very robust and fits the plug perfectly unlike the cheaper kits where you have to bend the tongue to hold the plug in. Pots are butter smooth and switch is very solid. Ive built a few guitars and and have purchased many different wiring kits and this is definitely the one I'm sticking with. Price wise actually cheaper by a few dallors than some other ones I've purchased in the passed and actually comes with extra wiring and a treble bleed! After purchasing so many wiring kits I'm absolutely blown away by the quality, definitely recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade their current wiring set up or anyone who builds guitars you wont be disappointed.

The Good:I like the ample about of wire available. Nice components. Clean twists on the treble bleed add-on. Instructions for installation of the essential components is legible.The Bad:The treble bleed installation instructions comes with a small piece of paper that shows you which pot it needs to be installed on... but it only states "put it like [this, but with other stuff also soldered onto it as well]". There are three lugs/terminals. One is ground for the orange capacitor. With no point of reference, you have to resort to other means to figure out WHICH two terminals it should be soldered ontoTreble Bleed Option: Attach/solder the treble bleed ends to the terminals with the wires (hot/ground), not the terminal that has the capacitor grounded to the pot.Otherwise, I do recommend this kit.

I was on the fence with messing with my ultra rare squier sonic tele but im happy I did. the thinner body wasn't an issue fitting this kit, super easy just follow the included diagram. If you are somehow one of the extreme few who have a sonic tele just know you will need new knobs and switch tip since the old ones wont fly, neither will the input jack plate. Otherwise this kit is very nice and happy the treble bleed is included.

I put this wiring kit in an American Telecaster with upgraded pickups. The wiring diagram was large and easy to follow. This was only my third time doing a wiring kit so it took a little more time than it should have but it wasn't complicated. A good soldering iron and the proper no clean Flux is a must. All in all I'm very pleased with this product. The tone is great.

I am extremely happy with this purchase. The pots feel buttery smooth and are a massive upgrade from the stock ones in my Squier Tele upgrade project. I used this to actually set up my control plate backwards and out of order, as I’m heavily used to a Stratocaster setup where the volume knob is right close to your pinky while playing. It took me a few hours of soldering to get everything totally pulled apart, then back together. I used the PTFE wire instead of the cloth, but it’s nice that you have both options.This kit came with an extra cap that allows you to do the treble bleed volume mod, which is a really nice touch (I have this done on my American Stratocaster.The only sad thing was that it was tough to get the volume knobs from my tele kit on, and the plastic cap on the pickup selector appears to be too small in the whole to fit. Aside from those minor gripes, I’m extremely happy with this kit and give it 5 stars

This ToneShapers wiring kit is absolutely brilliant! I bought a cheap Squier affinity Tele that someone had already upgraded the tuners and put a Wilkinson neck pickup in to replace the muddy sounding OE pup. I only bought this as a thrash about on kinda guitar so didn’t want to throw pots of money at it. Some brass saddles and this awesome complete kit from ToneShapers has worked wonders on this cheap Chinese marvel. I love playing it. There is no buzzing and the treble bleed circuit makes a huge difference when rolling back the volume. The bridge pup is the stock ceramic OE and the new electrical harness, full size CTS pots, Switchcraft socket and CRL 3-way switch really give this pup the opportunity to sing. And it really does. The shrill, over treble-y notes now soar and ring out clearly. Plenty of Telecaster spank now. This kit makes a cheap Affinity into a very capable, lovely sounding guitar that I would happily gig anytime. Definitely recommended.
