Is it possible to run all the nodes with an ethernet backhaul (so between themselves, as well as to the main router)?

Yes, that's possible, but unnecessary. I'm using the system with wireless backhaul and speed is fantastic. 400mbps internet, and I get 100-120% of that speed everywhere in the house, whether using the main node or the satellite. This is a tri-band system (and the 3rd band is 5ghz) so the 3rd band is dedicated to backhaul and you get essentially a full wireless band for backhaul. This system kicks butt! So fast.

I have seen nothing on the internet saying that Asus has approved 3 units together. Does 3 at once work?

Yes, I have four in my house working very well together. In response to the other reply asking why one would have 3 in the same house, it's because there are a lot of problems transmitting through certain walls, most likely due to metal. My house is only about 2300 sq. ft. yet four are required in strategic locations to get good coverage in the entire house without dead zones.

What’s the difference between the Ax92u and this series?

I actually own both products. This is actually a far more powerful product. The ax92u is a 1.8ghz dual core processor and is a great router or mesh node, but lacks the power or versatility that this system has.

Is this product white or charcoal? the description says charcoal but the model is w which suggests white.

It comes in both colors. I have the white version and they look petty good, and not like a typical router. I like the fact the antennas are internal
