Outstanding. Read below for Simon XT installation
I was pleasantly surprised that this came fully charged at 6.57v out of the box. I'll probably order another one as a hot spare.A couple of notes for the Simon XT:The panel was plugged in when I replaced the battery, and the low battery fault would not clear (status/disarm) after the new battery was installed even though it was charged. Both the panel and voice kept reporting a low battery. To fix this I unpluged the panel from AC and disconnected the new battery, then reconnected the battery first, waited a minute or two, then pluged the panel into AC power. The power sequence has been important over the years during other trouble shooting and it appears this is no exception as the panel then cleared the battery fault and pressing the status button returned the "system ok" message.Keep in mind that if the new battery is below 5.4v out of the box, the panel will correctly report a low battery condition until it has been charged to the minimum acceptable voltage for the fault to clear. You can check the new battery with a multimeter before installation, or once installed, press and hold the number 6 button on the panel for about 10 seconds and the battery voltage will appear on the screen. So, if the battery is charged and the fault hasn't cleared, disconnect and reconnect as above. If the battery is below 5.4v, use the same installation sequence but expect the low battery fault to persist until it has been charged.

Good Drop-In Replacement for Gold Top
Our Cable Box lit up saying it needed a new battery, and inside indicated 12V 7-8A.So this was just the ticket to slide into place as a reasonable replacement. The one I took out was installed 21 years ago... so I'm hoping that this one will be able to hold out and last at least 10 or 15? Discharging and recharging over its usable lifetime, I'm sure it's designed for some basic longevity, but I guess only time will tell where things stand after a decade or two...At any rate, it slid into place as an easy replacement and I put a label on it to say when it was new. Let's see who finds it in what condition hopefully many years down the road. . .Works Well!

Clears the error
Bought this a month ago or so. So far it’s doing what it is supposed to do. The error on my system is clear.

Did not appear to be Pre-Charged for Immediate Use
Specifications stated: "Pre-Charged for Immediate Use." We did not find this to be accurate. The first two evenings our alarm system stated the batter was low. This has since rectified itself. We did not have any power outages during this time so that leads us to believe the battery was not charged as expected. Cannot tell you about battery life as it has only been in use for about 10 days. Product was delivered timely and at a good price. Way cheaper than buying through your alarm service provider. We have a Simon unit. The battery fit as expected. Our unit is difficult to open to replace the battery. Once open you simply place the two connectors as instructed which was super easy.

Good battery for my intended use
Workers expected. Arrived in good condition fully charged. Using it on my champion 9000 watt generator. So far so good.

Exact replacement
The battery in my alarm system was sending error messages to the panel. Was able to find this exact match for the prior battery. It was quick and easy to swap them out and the new battery works just fine. Hopefully I get the same 10 year lifecycle from this one.

Holds only 4 hours of power
I purchased this battery as a replacement for my security system control panel. It fit well into the space available. It was easy to install and after a few hours of charging, the panel told me it was working properly again.HOWEVER, after using this battery for a month AND two power outages of over five hours, I discover that this battery only holds 4 HOURS OF CHARGE. For where I live along the Texas coast, this isn't enough. The first occurrence, I thought maybe the battery wasn't fully charged, but by yesterday it had been charging for 3 weeks. At four hours of power outage, I got a notice that the battery was dead. Not good enough. I do not recommend this product.
