Solved my high-pitched background noise problem in Zoom recordings
This small, simple-to-use device solved for me what I thought had turned into an intractable problem. Each time I wanted to record a Zoom video on my Windows 10 machine; the audio in the recorded file manifested a high-pitched background noise. I searched the Internet, but none of the suggested tweaks to the Windows or Zoom settings worked. Then I stumbled upon a suggestion to try a predecessor to this product. So, I gave this newer model a try. And it worked---flawlessly. I'm quite happy with the result. I now have it connected to my computer even during live Zoom calls. I simply connect my headset to it, instead of directly to my computer's audio jack. You can control the microphone level on the device. For me this product has been effective and quite simple to use.

Ps4
Headsets as u know on when used on ps4 seem to be less powerful and quieter than on other systems. Wanted something that would help with the volume. Was very skeptical about purchasing the sound blaster. With just plug and play the sound was better and a little louder. At this point i kinda felt I wasted money. Was hoping that I would be blown away with just plugging it in. Last option was to try it with the app. I downloaded the app, updated firmware and tuned it with equalizer and increased amp power. This was the game changer. The volume was way more than enough and the sound quality was awesome. Not all headsets are the same with some being base heavy or too much treble or just flat sounding. Through the app I was able to adjust the sound on my headsets for games, music, and movies. Only problem I did rung into was some echoing on my headsets with detachable mics and only way I was able to fix that was lower mic volume on sound blaster. Don't know if thats an issue but no biggie. Overall Im happy with the purchase and I can highly recommend this for ps4 users who are want better sound and volume from headsets.

Works as Advertised but there are better options
Overall I was very impressed by the quality of this product. The sound separation and staging is vast improvement over the Switch's internal audio, and it's optical in--tho meant for a headset--is useful in extending the value of this DAC to use on your home A/V equipment. The short USB lead is nice; tho I wish it were modular as these types of cables on portable devices often fail over time. In short, the Creative G3 is a great device that does everything it is advertised to do; and does it well. However, I have to recommend the FiiO BTR3 over this. It works great with the Switch and has bluetooth functionality for a number of other devices. There is one group however, that will want this over the FiiO, and that's anyone using the G3 for voice communications. While the FiiO has a mic built in for cell phones, I can't say it works with the Switch or PS4 as the G3 is designed to, and has no other interface for audio in for your preferred headset. If you are looking for a DAC/ADC for your gaming device that will allow you to hook up your preferred mic and headset, get this. But if you don't need the microphone support, and want a number of other features at the same price, get the FiiO BTR3.

I Expected More
It works but it's not what I expected. The connection is in/out and the sound quality is "average," but I wouldn't buy it again. Anyone in a pinch might find this useful, but most everyone else should consider a better option.

Works like a charm
I've been using this for mixing my Mac audio with my Switch 2 and it's absolutely great. Great for watching Youtube and playing games.

This is good for the speaker/headset only. Not for microphone.
Buying this soundcard for my online meeting. First time I tried this on my macbook pro, the microphone sound quality is so horrible. But after several hours of testing, it becomes good. Don’t really know why. The mobile app (Sound Blaster Command) works perfect. But the desktop app always get failed to install on my macbook. The equalizer only work for the output (headset or speaker), so can’t be used to tune the sound (adding more bass/treble) for the voice from microphone

Not a clean dac/amp, and not powerful enough
It doesn’t provide clean audio. It has audible artifacts/distortion. It also isn’t loud enough for many headphones even setting the gain and volume as high as possible. It will power less hungry headphones, but for example they are not enough for Sundaras. And it never saves the volume I had them at, I always have to go into the app and adjust. It has some features like the mic support and app with eq, but the most important things for a dac/amp are for it to just be clean and powerful enough and it satisfies neither, which is absurd when you have ten dollar dongles from Apple meeting those requirements just fine

USB-C connection needs work
I bought this to pair with an EPOS/Sennheiser gaming headset as I knew something that was higher quality and had more resistance would require a DAC/AMP. My sound blaster Z was a nuisance to work with especially on windows 11, so I decided to give this budget DAC a run for the money. Out of the box, it’s plug and play and the software is pretty simple to use. I didn’t get the results I wanted with default settings and ended up having to toggle on extra loud volume to go above regular levels. I was able to hear footsteps with the scout mode just fine in CSGO and it seemed like it was doing what it should well. After a few days and a few disconnects switching between work and personal computers, that’s when the type C connector showed its weakness. I started having frequent issues where the slightest vibration would cause the sound to cut out from the connector and my mic would stop working. People would complain they couldn’t hear me and I couldn’t fix it without a reboot. Mic quality seems to be stuck at 48hz and trying to adjust it to anything higher will cause your mic to stop working completely. Eventually I ended up replacing this with the Soundblaster X6 which uses USB type A connector and has none of these issues (also goes up to 384khz). For budget gamers who have either a type c dock that’s rested in an area with no vibrations, this might be a good budget item to give you louder sound to use with a HiFi headset. For people who have the money, buy the X6 instead and don’t risk the issues I had with this.
