VOLFENHAG ZX-858R 4x10" 500w 2 Way Car Speakers [Electronics]

I bought these for my 1990 Caprice wagon Most brands are too deep for the application in the rear sail panels. The same with theseI had to alter the factory panels and mount them on the surface.they look good and sound good. adequate bass, smooth non blairing treble. I've got 22 watts per channel from a Sony Cassette/CD changer.I can't wait to buy 4X6s for the front, and another pair of 4X10s for my 65 Chevy Corvair.I like the build quality from Germany. I feel these are made with more care than speakers from China.

I spent a lot of time looking on here for 4 x 10's and most of them for the same $ wasn't a pair but these are so that was the first plus. I have a Monte carlo and didn't want to cut in the back for 6 x 9's I wanted it to be the way it was when the car came out LoL Picky yes but that's me. First thing is the look of these speakers Awesome :) Yes there are not a high in name but do they sound good? Yes they do, now with 4 x 10's most people know there isn't going to be a lot of bass but the sound is still really good I like rock,metal,rap ect. Now with rap there good but not a lot of bass so that's why you get subs but with rock and metal really good and right now all I have is the 2 speakers in the back subs are coming as well the front speakers. My car is loud duel pips, 400sb but with windows down I can still here the music really good and I am happy with them. The $ really isn't bad and within 2 and a half days I had them after order. So if your looking for cheap but does the job and looks good I would go with them. Volfenhag isn't a bad brand there just not a high $ name but like I said the speakers work really well and I even got Volfenhag subs coming, so if your looking to save money but want good sound go with Volfenhag.

Bought this and tbe 4x6 to put in my 88 s10 with a250 wattt 4 channel amplifier (alpine). Thought with the ratings for wattage and rms I would be able to have the gain at a quarter. But u started with it at less than that with no a negative bass and a negative mid-range and treble set at 0. And using a 14 gauge speaker wire (fosgate). I had my stereo up not quite halfway, istening to def leopard. Started out fine and within 4 minutes started to get scratchy. And 2 minutes after that they completely blew out sounding link fireworks going off. I am returning them for refund. And buying alpine and rockford fosgate. They should be tested and rerated. They are not 350 or 450 watt speakers.

Not the greatest speakers, but for the price it's a deal. You can tell they are cheaply made but the sound produced is very nice, I'm impressed.

With these particular speakers, you get what you pay for. I have a 92 chevy s10 PU and they are a great fit in the factory housing and do have a great price but the sound quality is horrable. Keep in mind that the truck is old and I didn't want to sink a lot of money into the sound. I was not expecting much to begin with due to the price but these are bad.

Order for 86 Chevy, behind the sit. The unit was a little deep, had to do a little trimming of the factory box to make they fit flush. Other than that not a bad set for an old farm trk

Didn't sound the best with a factory radio, but after I put the new head unit in, sounded like high dollar speakers from a stereo shop.

For thirty bucks these are a fairly decent set of speakers, mounted into my 1976 plymouth fury anything was going to be a step up, but i was pleasantly surprised by the sound these output.the only issue i had was the positive clip, not the whole thing but the actually slide in connector, on one of these had broken off, dont know if it was a factory error or if it happened during shipping. Not a huge deal once i soldered the connection the speaker works just like it should.
