No...made in Switzerland. This & Mercer (German) are the only knives I use. These particular are more for everyday use so you're not going to get the quality you would in a more expensive set. They are very sharp so will stand up well. I even put them in the dishwasher. The bottom line...I'd definitely buy them again. Hope this helped.

Yes they are dishwasher safe. I wash mine by hand because I use them often but my children dishwash them and there’s no sign of degradation.
