Very tasty, spicy, and free of preservatives. First jar arrived and we had a mishap storing it at room temperature. So be sure to refrigerate on receiving it. Customer service reached out immediately and quickly supplied a replacement jar as well as a refund for the original jar. Unusual in the business world, there was a sincere and profuse apology for my inconvenience. I have therefore deleted my original review.I plan to making a NYTimes recipe with eggplant and gochujang.

I’ve had several Gochu Jang and this is by far the most rich and tastiest. You can tell they take care during every step of the fermenting process, as well as picking premium ingredients. Buying some more for my dad soon!

Worst Korean product. I shouldn’t buy it. First, it’s liquid. I have never seen like this liquid gochoojang. Very wired. Second, it’s not certified non GMO product. I bought it because they described it’s made with non gmo ingredients, but it doesn’t have any certified non GMO mark. Third, it’s made with only 11% of produce of Korea red pepper powder. Moreover, it doesn’t have a label in English, so if buyers doesn’t read Korean you can’t aware they used unknown ingredients. Fourth, flavor is very sugary and the spiciness level is very high, too much. They don’t accept return. So, I had to write my review for other buyer. Hope buyers read my review before buying it. I bought two, I have no idea what to do. But, sure that I’m not gonna use this strange Gochoojang.

If you want super spicy, look elsewhere. This medium spicy gochujang is excellent quality.

This is really good gochujang. We tried six of the ones that were highly rated in reviews from different sources (not just Amazon). We liked this one the best - we really enjoyed the depth of flavor. It is mildly spicy (if you like hot, you'll have to add to this one).However, the packaging is awful. The first one arrived bulgy and leaking through the bottom of the container. Amazon refunded it and we discarded it (the bulgy part scared us). The second arrived with a loose lid that allowed the seal to break. The jar was only half full. Note that it is a non-returnable food item, so you'll have to contact Amazon customer service and ... well ... YMMV ...

Adds great flavor and a little heat. Great for meat dishes, stir fry, kimchee

I bought the set with the miso and soy sauce. This chili paste is so good I keep inventing things to put it on. It is very concentrated and salty, mildly spicy, with a little balancing sweetness and an incredible depth of flavor. Divine!
