Sticker Dolly Dressing Ballerinas & Dolls Paperback – January 1, 2008

My daughter loves this. With over 800 stickers, she has been working on the pictures for months and still loves it!

My six year old daughter loves these books! Any book by Usborne is well worth purchasing. The sticker books are great for travel, church, quiet time, etc. She'll sit for an hour and work on them. The illustrations and pictures are done so well and engage the child. We love Usborne books!

My 5 year old is a super fan of this dolly dressing sticker books. I have a stock in my house, and every time she makes an acomplishment in school or in her extra classes, I use one of them as a gift.I strongly recommend them because they are so much fun for girls and moms, too. =)

Like a few other reviewers, I have purchased several other Sticker Dolly books from Usborne, and I've enjoyed doing them with my daughter. They usually are of the highest quality and provide hours of entertainment for us. This one, however, seems to have defective adhesive, at least in the first half. None of the ballerina stickers will remain stuck down, although the ones in the second half stick a little better. This seems to be a problem specific to this book, and not to the double-size format, as I also own the princesses/fairies combo book, which has no similar issue. Interestingly, this problem has been reported by several purchasers spread out over more than a year. What happened, Usborne?For those who enjoy the Sticker Dolly series, or who want to try it out, I recommend buying the separate Ballerina and Dolly volumes. If you buy them with the 4-for-3 promotion that Amazon always has, your net cost would be only about $1 more than buying the combined volume here, and your aggravation saved will be more than worth it.

We also have purchased many from Usbourne, but the last on we ordered here from Amazon, did not stick. We recently received more as a gift from an Usbourne rep. and those did stick very well. I'm wondering, when coming from Amazon, if they sit in a warehouse for a long time and the adhesive begins to break down. Just a possibility.

My daughter loves the Sticker Dolly books, I bought the first over a year ago and have been buying additional ones for b-days, holiday, etc. However, this latest one I ordered was a big disappointment. The stickers did not adhere well and within 20 minutes they were peeling off and falling out of the book. We still have completed books from over a year ago that my daughter likes to look through and the stickers are all still intact. I gave the last Sticker Dolly book we bought 5 stars but ths one I give one star. I don't know if they have changed to a cheaper adhesive or just have a bad batch of stickers. I am going to return it for a new one and hope it is better, if not then I will just throw it away.

I brought many of the Usborne stickers books and they are great. However, I agree with the previous review that the stickers in this book do not stick. Very frustrating! My daughter had to use elmer's glue to get the stickers to stay on the page. This occurred for all the pages in the book. Prior to this purchase, we had the single theme sticker books by Usborne and all the stickers properly adhered to all the book pages.

I bought this book several months ago along with other usborne sticker dress up doll books. I gave away the others for bday gifts or for travel and all were big hits. However, as luck would have it, the one we kept for ourselves was a dud. My daughters adore the pictures and want to play with the book, but the stickers do not stick. They keep trying but find it so frustrating that they end up tears. They use tape to hold them down, but really it's very disappointing. So buy these books, but not this version.

These keep my girls busy, we love taking them travelling or out for dinner.

I used this as an ESL practice task with children to teach clothes and body parts in English. The children were so captured by the game and the pretty ballerinas that they didn't realize they were learning all thise new words.

My daughter (4) adores sticker books and has done since she was old enough to work out how to peel and stick. We've tried lots of stickers books but these Usborne Dolly Dressing books are absolutely the cream of the crop.This book is heavily focused on a Ballerina theme and includes ballerina dolls at the studio, costume fitting, in make-up and doing popular ballets such as The Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. Some themes are single page spreads and some are double-page spreads which are large because the book is slightly bigger than an A4 sheet.Each theme has its own sticker section - lovely that the stickers are not all just jumbled up, they are actually laid out so you can see which pages the stickers relate to. There are tons of beautiful stickers for each section and not just clothes and shoes either. You also get accessories to dress up rooms too which makes it even more exciting. Your child is free to put the stickers anywhere they like for each section which makes it even more inventive and imaginative. We love spending quality mum and daughter time doing these sticker pages together.In addition to the ballerina pages, there are also many pages of themed dolls including, Time for Bed, Best Friends, Bridesmaids, Disco Dolls, Roller Skating, On the Beach and more. The variety is awesome.I cannot see how anyone can be disappointed with these books. I would happily pay double the price to get hold of them because my daughter gets hours and hours of fun from each one and it is something we enjoy doing together.The stickers do peel off if a mistake is made and can be pressed down again with no issues. Some of the stickers (like shoes) can be small and fiddly for my 4 year old as I would expect but an older child could do this on their own.I really and truly highly recommend that you try this for a child who loves pretty stickers and being creative. They make wonderful gifts too. Simply gorgeous.
