Fast, flexible, and dual-use—solid charger for torch batteries and mobile power on the go.
This unit’s built for multi-tasking—charges 18650, 20700, and 21700 lithium-ion cells and doubles as a power bank when loaded. USB-C input/output with Quick Charge 3.0 and Power Delivery 3.0 means fast charging for both batteries and devices. Ideal for torch kits, wildlife cams, or van setups where you want backup power and battery top-ups in one. Digital display shows voltage, current, and battery status—no guesswork. Spring-loaded slots grip cells clean, and the case feels solid with magnetic closure. Compact enough to stash in a gear bag, and smart enough to auto-detect battery type and adjust charge rate. Best used with quality cells—cheap batteries can limit performance or trigger safety cutoffs. 👍 Pros ✅ Dual function—charger + power bank ✅ USB-C with QC3.0/PD3.0—fast and flexible ✅ Supports 18650, 20700, 21700 cells ✅ Digital display—clear readout ✅ Compact and solid—easy to stash 👎 Cons ❌ Batteries not included—buy cells separately ❌ No passthrough charging—can’t charge and power at once ❌ Magnetic lid can pop open if dropped

As expected from XTAR products - brilliant
been a long time user and fan of XTAR chargers, I have the older version PB2C and love it but wanted the 21700 and PD support. The PB2S is a great device, functions as a smart and safe charger for li-ion cells and also can be turned into a great power bank where you can choose the cells you want. I love the QC/PD capability to charge it and that it can also deliver fast charging, I tested and it charged my phone on 9v. Another feature that sets it aside is the low-power function which is rare to find on other brands and super useful for devices that draw little current as most power banks turn off instead of continuing to charge.

Useful device
Great dual-purpose gadget, in that it can charge two batteries for my ecigs and also use those same batteries to charge a phone (or whatever) by USB. Supplied cable can be reversed to charge the batteries or output to something else. There’s no built-in battery to wear out and no danger of falling for the gross exaggerations of battery capacity that most manufacturers of power banks seem to resort to; you use your own batteries. The hidden LCD is nice but at first I thought it didn’t have one at all! Flaws: the magnetic cover falls off easily so I’ve resorted to sellotape when carrrying it around; 18650 batteries are a little loose inside and can become disconnected if it gets shaken around; there was a pointless ribbon for battery removal that got in the way until I cut it off.

Not the best and miss leading discription
Portable yes, good to use all the time... No. It doesnt show individual batterie charge percentage. Just a duel one. And also its not acurate percentage. It doesnt charge your batteries on the go which is what i got from the description. It has to be plugged in. So if ur out and about it basically just holds the batteries. But if it 18650 then they move about in there so not the best for safety metal rubbing etc.

Early impressions are that this is perfect
So, in a nutshell, this is a well-made charger for many LiIon cells including the bigger 21700 type and it also doubles as a power pack once it has some cells in it. Simple enough? What sets this apart is the display though - to charge you plug it into the power source (USB-C) and *then* put the LiIon cells in. The display quickly tells you the level of charge %, the charge voltage and current - and it can use USB-C PD/QC at up to 12V as well. When used as a power bank you also get %charged plus output voltage and current so you can tell how fast your device is charging (pretty fast if it’s an iPad or supports QC3.0). This also helps you spot bad charging leads that don’t support high current charging BTW and you can pay a tenner for a USB current meter as a separate item. The USB-C port supports charging in and out and there is also a single USB-A port for the rest of your stuff… The unit feels well made - the magnetic cover is secure and the build quality feels high, the case is smooth with a non-slip coating and the display is frosted so it looks suitably cool when it is active. All in all it’s about as sexy as a battery charger can be.

Waste of money. Bad product. Bad customer service.
Charger drops in and out while charging iPhone. And wont reliability charge batteries. I have contact customer and spoke over email many times, they refuse to accept responsibility and now ignore my emails. Zero product support

Useful bit of kit.
If like me you use 18650's in your vape machine(s) then this is a really good buy. Saves carrying about spare batteries AND a battery pack so less to carry in the old backpack.

Well made and rapid charges my phone and capable of nearly 3.0A output
I bought this and installed 2 X 21700 batteries (Samsung inr21700-40t from nubattery) in it. Using a usb-c to usb-c cable I tested with my OnePlus phone and noted that it rapid charges it and this is a excellent result for me as so many devices can not charge my phone at the higher speed. Further tests with other devices and my test meter indicate its max output (with my battery types) is 2.9A at 4.6v, which is impressive as most struggle to reach 2.0A. I have a few other XTAR products and they seem well made and last well and I'd certainly recommend this as well

Super! Klein, niedlich, handlich.

Unfortunately, with 18650 cells this power bank is unusable for me as the spring contacts are to loose to hold the 18650 accumulators firmly in place. Because it has spring contacts only on one side, this leads to the batteries losing contact with the bank when it receives even a slight shake. For example when you're walking and holding it, or even when you put it quite gently on a hard surface. When it loses contact, it shuts down and stops charging the phone, and doesn't start charging the phone again when the contact is restored. I bought it for the USB-C PD functionality, but this makes it unusable for me. Now I've added some foam to the other side of the lid to hold the batteries firmer in place (which didn't help) and now ordered some spring contacts to solder to the other terminal of the bank to resolve the issue with contact loss. But if you plan to use 18650 cells, I'd just avoid this bank.
