longer than original cord.
Why would "they" construct a cord that goes from your Xbox head set to your hand controller so if and when you move/flex/get excited it bends...up at the controller, down at the headset? These/The, newer replacement cord is the CORRECT length that should be the original!?It is longer which is good! When you get excited gaming or pissed and have a rage. There is more length so as to not be yanking and pulling/flexing where they insert via headset/controller which eventually over time, distroys the connection.

Echo problem
It works for what I need it for, it just echos my game sounds into other peoples headset.

Worked nice, until it didn't...
The one unique thing this product has going for it: Instead of the "L" style jack connector in the original and most replacements, this adapter includes a regular NON-angled connector.Unfortunately, the bend relief on the other side of the cable is not properly fused and inevitably breaks, leading to internal wire strain. Left channel went out after only several months of use.

Replaced the broken factory one the Steelseries came with. Perfect replacement and a fair price.

Don’t buy if you are using to chat with friends when playing games.
Worthless if you bought this to chat with your friends on Xbox..... there is a huge echo on their end everytime it’s plugged in. This was a total waste of money.

Broke after a month
Really excited that it came in. But I was using it a lot and never used true force with it. One day I started using it and my mic started cutting in and out every five seconds or so. Very frustrating :(
