TYR Phoenix Splice Maxfit Swimsuit

I've been a Speedo girl for a long time (in my 60's), so thought I would try Tyr. Not sure if the fit was off due to the mostly Polyester fabric, but I wasn't getting enough support for the "girls." It just mashed them to my chest wall so not very comfortable. Think I'll stick with Speedo even though much more expensive

Excellent suit! Very comfortable and secure in the water. If you have an athletic frame with broad shoulders, or a longer mid section (like me), be sure to take that into account when selecting a size. ***note to those buying a racer suite for the first time: These suits are meant to be really snug, so they will feel slightly smaller and tighter than a regular swimsuit...they are meant to compress you and hold all of your “bits” in place while you train :)

I swim every day, some times twice a day and my suits get LOTS of use. I love TYR, they have been my goto brand for YEARS! I love the thicker straps on these as I feel they last longer. I rinse them after every use and they really LAST! They feel solid and very durable during a swim and have really kept their shape! BTW, I am a 55yo Masters competitive pool and open-water swimmer. I also compete in Triathlons, working toward an Ironman SOON! I bought a bunch of these as they were on sale and I have this thing about putting on a wet or damp suit, so I have several in my drawer and in my weekly rotation. You will love these!

It was definitely on the snug side! Order two sizes larger than you think. I measured my 12 yo daughter and got one size up from her measurements and wished I had got two sizes up. It fit but was almost uncomfortably tight.

I got it for my daughter. She has other TYR Swimsuit same size but this one was way too small

My daughter was painted. It didn't bother him and he felt super comfortable. I recommend it 100%

I've ordered this swimsuit before and really like it because it fits well and lasts longer than other performance swimsuits. It holds up to chlorine better and doesn't get stretched out. The material is different than the regular lycra suits and some may not like it but this suit lasts me at least 6 months swimming twice/wk in chlorinated water.

Searched for months for a racing suit that fit a woman (not kid or super athlete) that had a higher cut leg than the conservative cut on most suits sizes 38 or above. Gave up looking for one with any type of bra because once you put that in a search every suit has a conservative cut and you can't find a racing back. No suit is going to look great but reasonably happy with this one.

The swimsuit looked to be great quality but was definitely made smaller than normal. I always wear a 36 in TYR and I couldn't even get this one up to my shoulders. I ended up with a size 40 which fits snugly, just how it should. I am usually a M in a sweater size, size 10 in pants.

Good solid suit but made small l normally ware a 38 got the 40 and it’s tight, little short in the torso .

the size was large but too small , have other TYR and 12 fits

I will be buying another one of these as soon as they come back in stock with my size. Love the overall cut and it feels like it will last the 300 training hours they company claims. I swim masters 3 to 5 times per week. I'm 46, have a large bust and am too old for my bum to be hanging out. The cut of this swimsuit supports me very well and is full coverage everywhere.

I was disappointed that the fit is not the same as the previous suit I bought by the same manufacturer.
