Big Sky SBR-1G Gun Rack

Installed this in my 2000 Buick Park Avenue. I'm a field services agent and I end up in a lot of very sketchy, remote places on a daily basis. This rack keeps my weapon completely out of sight, even if you stand right next to the car. My rifle is secure, readily accessible but out of the way and not in my mirrors or view of the road. It can be secured with a cable lock if needed and quickly removed and stowed in a carrying case if I will be more than a few yards away from the vehicle, like in a restaurant or hotel. A great option for someone who doesn't drive a truck or SUV around everywhere!

I love this gun rack my cousin has one that's how I found out about them. However in my tundra with side curtain air bags it had no metal to shoot the screws into. Had it installed for a week and it was pulling down my headline. Just wasn't as stable as it should be so I sold it to my brother and its perfect in his truck. I found a different brand that should work better in my truck its called Great Day center lock

This worked marvelously to mount a rifle in my 1999 VW New Beetle. I do wish that the center support with the strap was reversible since I technically mounted the center bar upside down to give me even more headroom. Most of my rifles fit fine but a few of my quad railed ARs are a very tight squeeze in the front support.

I received no hardware kit with this purchase. The package was incomplete. Missing all screws, nuts and bolts. Only received the bar, mounting plates, and padded brackets. Not happy. I will need to purchase any hardware required to mount this in my vehicle. Very disappointed....

The screws worked their way out of the roof of my truck, causing the rifle that was mounted there, to fall down and hit my while going down a bumpy dirt road.

Ended up mounting it behind my seats in my regular cab F150 just below the window. Its great! Gun sits behind the seats and just below the rear window so that it is somewhat hidden and no one sees it to have a reason to break into my truck to steal it. When I installed it I fit my bow in the outside grips before I set them on the rail so that it would hold my bow perfectly in addition to my rifles. LOVE THIS!!!

Great rack, too big in my opinion for a regular ford Ranger, it well fit in it but the head room is juss too small

Good rack, just not as pictureed with the accessory holder. I will contact manufacturer, I will change rating if they correct the issue. I think for the price paid the accessory holder should be included.
