Hydrofarm FLF27DF 27-watt CFL, Black Floor Plant Light

I've had these plant lights for many years. Bulbs last at least 3 years or better, and the lamps themselves last at least 9 - 10 years. It's a very good plant light for the money.

I bought two of these lights for my plants because living in the Midwest means it won’t be very sunny the next few months. Last year I struggled with some plants not doing too well due to low light.One light I bought was new but packaging damaged in the warehouse. It came out of the box with zero marks or dents and has worked perfect since. The second one was used but was still mostly packaged like the new one. Upon thorough investigation, there’s one small scratch at the base but without looking for it, I would have never noticed. After assembling, it worked great for the first few minutes then no longer worked. I was worried I got a broken light. I bought a new bulb and it’s been working great ever since. My plants are thriving and growing! I love the look of these because they are like a modern lamp and can be tucked in close to my plant stand providing more coverage to more plants!

I love this lamp. Seriously. I cannot express how satisfied I am with this purchase. I had researched grow lamps for months before settling on this one. It doesn’t have any goofy colors - but it IS very bright when the rest of the lights are off. The tray was larger than I had anticipated, which was a welcome surprise as I had a few plants that needed some TLC. I have had this lamp for over a month now, and I am happy to report that my African violets foliage have deepened in color, have grown more leaves and are BLOOMING. I went a whole year without blooms until I started using this lamp. I don’t give them more than a few hours each day (4, maybe 5? And a full 12 on weekends) and I am amazed with the results. My pilea peperomioides is growing new leaves, my violets have buds and are deep green (the one in the white pot has sprouted new white/purple variegated leaves) ... I would highly recommend this lamp. Just make sure you know the dimensions of the height of the lamp as tall plants won’t fit under it. Fortunately I only needed it for small ones. But it’s great! I want to buy more for my other plants.

Reportedly, the on/off switch is the first thing to go, however, if, like me, you intend to use it in an office, just get a timer. Perfect for a mid sized plant, six inch pot, 15 inches high. Plant is getting plenty of light and taking off like a rocket.(Update) The plant, (nepenthes), aka "Cleopatra Jones" has turned out to be a real fire-cracker! Totally thrived under this lamp.After about five years of non-stop use with a timer, the lamp finally burned out. I replaced it with a HyGarden Grow Light, but she just became chlorotic and threw out a LOT of flowers, which isn't a good sign.Maybe Cleopatra Jones is nearing the end of a great life, maybe she wasn't getting the light intensity, who's to say?But the AgroBrite was definitely a great purchase for me.So great, I replaced the HyGarden with another AgroBrite.

Very sad. I bought my first lamp in 2020, bulb went dead in 2022, bought a replacement bulb, but the entire light was non-working. New unit in 2022, same thing experience. It's now 2024 and the entire unit is now not working (sending the replacement bulb back and going to buy another brand of lamp this time). I use mine for orchids. It is on for ~ 11 hours/day on a timer.

I was a little wary of buying a floor grow light online. Luckily, this floor grow lamp turned out to be a winner. It doesn't come with instructions but don't let that throw you. Assembly is easy and intuitive. The base is weighted enough to make the lamp fairly sturdy. The flexible gooseneck lamp head is a real plus. The bulb supplied puts out a good amount of light. I had to contact the company because the two screws needed to securely anchor the pole to both the base and the lamp head were inadvertently left out of the box. Customer service was responsive and courteous. My Meyer Lemon tree is now much happier and healthier during the indoor winter months. I saw a significant improvement in my sickly looking Meyers Lemon tree just days after starting to use this lamp. I recommend using this lamp in conjunction with an automatic timer. It makes keeping your plants happy a snap. If you need a floor grow lamp at a reasonable price, don't hesitate to get this lamp.

Love this led grow light! It offers really great lighting coverage for large house plants that cant get access to natural sunlight. It was extremely easy to assemble and is sturdy lamp with flexible head for positioning if you have multiple plants. Can work well as a really nice lamp for the house as well.

Great product. Esthetic, nice design that fits any decor, sturdy and elegant, easy to use, much flexibility. And it does the job, the plants grow well since I started using it. Absolutely nothing wrong to report about it, I recommend it – and I even might buy another one soon. It's worth the price.

It works fine. Hard to assess its longevity but from what I can tell at this time, everything (including shipping) is great.
