Pretty good for college apartment
Pretty nice for the price. It was a little complicated to put together since I wanted the grid on the right side to be next to the door. I had to swap some screws that weren't long enough in the end. But it looks pretty nice and is very convenient to have a place to toss my keys, bag, shoes etc when coming in the door. It's a little less sturdy because I couldn't use the anchoring kit. One because I rent and can't screw into the wall, but even if I could it wouldn't reach because I have baseboards so it doesn't lie flush with the wall. Not a huge deal just means I cant put anything too heavy on the hooks. That might be a safety issue for people with small kids but it will work for me.

Missing parts and holes drilled incorrectly
Two trips to Lowes to get the bolts I needed to finish the assembly. Holes drilled backwards on one of the Poles. Major pain to assemble.

I feel like an idiot
OK - so I used to install fixtures for a living. I'm one of those weirdos who loves to put together Ikea furniture and I love puzzles. So I'm embarrassed to report that this seemingly simple job took me 2 hours. I read the directions carefully - or so I thought. There is a metal bar that goes under the bench board and it has one hole in the middle that accommodates the middle support bar. It is very easy to put that bar in the wrong place. It's not the fault of the instructions - it illustrates where that hole is and how that bar should be placed. Everything seemed fine until I tried to attach the wooden panels with the hooks to the uprights and none of the holes lined up.So be mindful of the hole, people! Don't be a chowderhead like me.The only reason I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars is because the screws for the coat hooks are very short, and it's easy to strip the particle board if you use a drill like I did. I'll have to find some screws that are a tad bit longer to attach the hook. Probably would have been better to use a handheld screwdriver in the first place.Aside from the above, it's a nice looking piece and does the job. It was smartly packaged and other than the danged hole, easy to assemble. It's perfect for our little hall and I didn't have to break the bank for a costly piece of furniture for our short term rental. I've bought other pieces from the Songmics vendor, so I'll be looking more at their Vasagle brand for some matching items.

Hassle to set up
Although the piece is functional and beautiful, all the pieces were very very heavy. It took the 2 of us 3 hours altogether to get the thing together. Instructions aren't close to as clear as Ikeas. I still love this piece but probably wouldn't sign up for putting together another similar item.

Our dinning room looks sexy
The quality of the metal and wood was great. Everything is strong and sturdy (except for the hooks). The hooks are flimsy & bounce around easily, but I solved that issue by putting a magnet between the hook and the metal grid. It’s steady & usable now.I was most excited about the grid. Not only is it a coat rack, I can now hang my keys near the entrance. I bought a 10” grid rack on amazon ($10) & it BARELY fit! Keys are hung from the top & random items on the makeshift magnetic hooks. I even put a random magnet on the side of the grid wall to hang additional keys just for the hell of it.With 2 people, it took about 30 minutes to carefully put it together. The parts are all labeled and instructions were super easy to follow. It was easy to build & then pick up to relocate. It came with wall straps to ensure it doesn’t tip over, but we didn’t use them because it’s very sturdy as is.AWESOME coat rack & I am extremely happy with how it looks! I waited 2 months for it to come back in stock & I’m glad I didn’t buy another coat rack. Definitely worth the wait.

Sturdy and functional
VASAGLE hasn't let me down yet. This is the fourth item I have purchased from this seller, and I have not yet been disappointed. This item was a little more complicated to assemble than the other shelves-- but the CLEARLY LABELED items go together easily. I am very impressed that this hall tree/shoe rack is so STURDY. My husband is 220 lbs. and feels comfortable sitting on it to remove his boots, which isn't typical for flat-pack-home-assembly furniture. I'm glad we purchased this-- it matches the rest of the items we bought, and fits in exactly where I envisioned. I appreciate the movable hooks on the grid, I now have a place to hang purses and leashes in addition to hats and jackets. VERY PLEASED!

Better than expected
It took the wife and myself about 45 minutes to assemble. Packaging was nice and everything arrived. They even added pre-drilled pilot holes for mounting the coat hooks. Very nice modular design. A+ so far.

Great buy!
Super easy to set up, looks good, and it’s exactly what I wanted. It fits perfectly in my duplex and I couldn’t ask for anything more with the great price.

Instructions need to be reworked, but a beautiful piece.
First, the good, this piece looks amazing when assembled, definitely worth the money. The bad, the instructions, though clear, need a rework. That center pole you see, it has a cap at the bottom. This wouldn't be a problem, except that one of the last steps is to put the tiny screws INTO the pole to attach the hook boards. Easy enough, until you drop the screw and need to take off the entire pole, or flip the entire unite upside down to get the bloody thing out. Tip, from someone who dropped a screw: don't attach the middle pole immediately. Work on your counter top to attach the wooden boards to it, THEN attach the pole to the center hole, and finally attach the wooden boards to the other side.

Looks nice, but still a little bit of sway.
I liked the looks of it based on the photos on Amazon. When assembled, it looks great. There still is a little bit of sway when you sit on the bench, but it’s not too bad. My only real complaint is that it was short one wood screw for screwing the hooks into the horizontal slats (18 needed but only got 17, and Received extras of some of the other screws). In the assembly I would recommend a slight modification to the order of assembly. There are a few screws that are recessed inside a hollow tube (see photo). This means that if you are inserting the screw while the tube is assembled to the frame (as the instructions direct you to) and you happen to drop it, the screw falls all the way to the bottom which means you have to disassemble the tube from the frame to retrieve the screw. If you assemble this part before mounting it on the frame, it makes life much easier. Everything else was pretty straightforward as all parts and screws were letter coded.

So close to being great.... but a tragic flaw
I love the way this thing looks and functions once you get it together. The problem is the way the middle post thing is concieved is a huge problem. Basically you need to be able to bolt into both the gridwall on one side and the wood for the coat rack on the other, which means the bolts for the coat rack are so small they need to go INSIDE the post itself.... which is fine except that....a) This makes it very easy to drop one down the inside during assembly which means you now have to take a good chunk of it apart to retrieve the dropped bolt, and b) In order to get the bolts inside, there's large holes on one side (that fit the whole bolt through) and small holes on the other side (that only fit the threaded bit that goes into the wood) and somehow the one I got has these backwards! ....which means I can't even put it together properly, and now I've got this thing mostly built, so I definitely don't want to tear the whole thing down, try to pack it back up (which of course won't work well) and drag it down to a post office to send it back, but what good is it most of the way assembled? SO FRUSTRATING.Great concept, terrible execution.

Nice Hall Rack
This hall rack is sturdy and I like the wire hooks for hats, bags, etc. I wish there was an option to purchase a couple more wire hooks for the rack.I had my fiancé help me put it together and he said the instructions were a little odd; with the ‘J’ ‘k’ & ‘L’ bars you have to put the screw inside the bar & screw. The screw can easily fall down into the bar (needing to take the caps off to remove the fallen screw). My fiancé said the instructions should have you screw the shelves into these bars first before assembling the shoe rack part, so if the screw falls it isn’t a pain to retrieve. Other than that, it was easy to assemble and looks well made. Our cat approved too. Happy with this purchase and happy I had help because there’s no way I could’ve done it alone.

Fits a lot
It fits a lot, all the shelves and hooks are well thought through. A shelve on top for hats and helmets would have been great. In assembly instructions, there's one spot where I didn't notice that it all of a sudden was view from behind, so I had to reassemble. There's also a part where you have to put the screw inside a pole to screw it in. They are short screws so they just keep falling and getting stuck inside the pole. Which is already screwed in. Poorly thought through instructions.Assembly aside, I love it!
