I bought the 2,625 lb double sided magnet kit in mid September and have used it several times since. The magnet is very strong, with over 1,300 lbs of pull per side. So far it has brought in everything we have connected with! The material and build quality of the magnet are right there with the more expensive brands, but at a lower cost. In my opinion these magnets are as good as you can get. It has plenty of heft to really dig into the river or lake floor and makes it more apt to click onto something a lighter weight magnet might bounce right over. The rope with this kit is awesome, plenty heavy duty and very non tangle and it comes complete with a nice threaded carabiner already tied to it. Everything needed to get you going magnet fishing comes with this kit. Even comes with thread locker to make sure the eyebolt doesn't back out! Be sure to apply this 24 hours ahead of first usage, just like they say to do. If you are looking for a quality, strong double sided magnet to go magnet fishing with, I would definitely recommend this kit.

After applying the threadlocker to my 2625lb double sided magnet and waiting a couple days for it to fully and securely set, I took it for its maiden voyage. Just off a pair of docks I found 5 pocket knives, lots of bolts, nuts, nails and screws and washers, scissors, eyeglasses, cans and fishing gear to nameva few items. We even found a car bumper and a Smith & Wesson revolver from the 1800s! It's so exciting when you pull out a cool new item and bystanders love it too. So many laughs! The rest of the kit is top tier material,too. Everything is super durable. The rope given is strong enough to pull up the magnet no matter what it's stuck on. You won't break it. As long as the magnet holds onto the item, you'll be able to pull it up. The grappling hook can help pull up big items like bikes and shopping carts. Really useful item. Muscular Magnetics has excellent customer service and will do everything they can to make your order right if there's any issues. Very friendly and understanding folks! I'll definitely do business with them again, I'm so impressed with this kit. Money well spent!

I have been magnet fishing with a 275 pound pull magnet for a year now with my kid and decided it was time for some more serious equipment. I love that this is a side pull and grabs stuff from a greater distance and doesn't let go once stuff is caught. It's chunky to be sure, but it throws far and sinks fast. You really feel the bottom and once stuff catches, it's not letting go. Maybe not the best magnet for a 6 year old, but daddy won't want to use anything else! Magnet fishing is a blast and a really great way to get kids out of the house and off the electronics. You might as well get a couple though, because nobody likes waiting for their turn with the BIG ONE! Happy treasure hunting everyone! You never know what you will find.

Very excited to use this product, the few things that I did find wrong are so minimum. The carabiner is already on the rope, which is nice, but hard to find. I'm not sure how much weight the carabiner can hold, I'll be replacing that myself, only because I need assurance that it will hold. The gloves are....buy your own. Seriously, the items you get out of water can be anything and can be extremely sharp. The rest of the kit is fantastic. Good solid magnet, tape for rope was good as was the rope itself. For what you pay for the kit, I would overlook the gloves and carabiner. Yes you can find better quality rope, but for the novice or first timer, this is fine. All in all very happy.

Just got this and am blown away with the quality of this kit! This is the big daddy magnet, of the products they offer. I suggest you use caution with this, it is VERY powerful. I tested it by putting it on my fridge, when I tried to pull it off it pulled the fridge across the kitchen! LOL. Finally got it off with the help of my buddy and rubber mallet. I have used other really good fishing magnets but this one takes the cake. Oh and the stainless steel grappling hook included is pretty sweet, can't wait to try that. Everything you need is included in the kit right down to the gloves to help ya pull this baby in. Really impressed, maximum respect to Muscular Magnetics!

Best magnet for the money I think. I am new to magnet fishing and wanted a good quality magnet to use and this is it. This magnet is heavy, well made, and super strong. Watch out with your fingers because this thing will catch on metal from a good distance away. The rope is ok but I did go with a heavy duty paracord. Tape is ok as well but I'd get a better one, and the hook is meh because it has a lock washer welded on it and it might break off if you try to snag something heavy. All in all I would recommend this big magnet.

Initially I bought a lower cost magnet that did not impress me at all. I was actually shopping for another brand when I came across Muscular Magnetics. I ordered the 2625lb kit and couldnt be happier. The magnet is very strong , and the 100 ft (vs 65ft from others) is very nice as well. Speaking of, the rope I received had a tiny fray, so I contacted Muscular Magnetics and asked whether I should be concerned or not. Not a huge deal to me, but I wanted an expert opinion so I didnt end up losing my new magnet eventually. Their reply ? They insisted on sending me a new rope immediately. I cannot express enough how impressed I am not only with their products, but their customer service that is nothing short of exceptional. Highly recommended !

I can't imagine this thing could hold 2625lbs. I have a 750lb double sided fishing magnet and this was barely stronger than it. I was able to pull it off of a metal surface with my hand with just a little bit more force than my 750lb.
