Love it! Excellent when you follow manufacturer's easy and detailed instructions
This worked great on two pair of smooth leather Dansko clogs and also on a pair of pebbled leather oxfords. Prior to treatment, all of these would get wet spots in heavy rain or if I stepped into a puddle. On the clogs, water would also eventually seep in between the base and the leather upper. After treatment all three pair are completely water tight and still look great. No hazing or color change. No tackiness. No flaking. No smell. Right after treatment they had a matte finish, and I elected to brush this to a slightly satiny appearance. I went to the company's website and carefully followed their detailed instructions -- which are a little different than many people describe.Per the instructions, *first* heat the items to be treated, and *then* apply Sno-Seal. Not the other way around. The instructions on the manufacturer's website explain why this makes a difference. I pre-heated my oven to 200 (the lowest it goes), then propped upon the door until it dropped to about 150. Then I put in my shoes and shut the door. I left them in for 30 minutes.Again, following the instructions, I made two passes on all the shoes in sequence (I did all three pairs at the same time), and then made a 3rd pass in which I wiped off excess. (If you skip this step your item will have streaks where you unavoidably applied a little more product. It's much more work to even this out when the product has set up. I know because I included a throw-away shoe to test this. You can reheat the item and wipe off the excess, but it's better not to do this.) When applying the product, be sure to also treat seams, overlaps, etc., like where a clog upper is stapled to the base.Long after my shoes had completely cooled, I very lightly brushed them with a soft shoe brush to transform the matte yet transparent finish the product had created into a slightly satin finish. The manufacturer says you can go so far as to make them shiny. The first time I wore the oxford shoes I noticed a little extra product build up where the leather creases in the top of the toe box. So when they were dry I swiped with the brush only a few more times to remove the excess but not all the wax. I didn't brush off much of the wax because in the rain water droplets accumulate in the same location. In summary, I'm delighted by the outcome of this excellent product which I used according to manufacturer's very easy and clear online instructions.

Heat the wax!
I haven’t worn my black leather walking shoes in wet weather yet, but the application was EASY and I can’t believe it won’t work. Since my New Balance shoes have lots of seams and a separate tongue, the best they’ll be good for is slush, heavy rain and shallow puddles, but that’s OK.I’m about to take a 6 week trip, there will be snow showers at high elevations the first 4 days, so this should do fine, both then and if there are heavy rains or polar vortex mischief later in the trip.I heated the oven to 170 - it won’t heat below that, put each shoe in for 5 minutes, until it was a bit warm, and worked on it. Much more importantly, I put the tube of wax in a tall glass, poured boiling water over it and left it there until I was ready to work on each shoe. Be sure to turn the tube over midway through, so the entire tube has the same consistency.Basically, I liquified the wax, which made it very easy to apply. Each shoe got 3 solid coats. I then “detailed” the seams with cotton swabs, which forced the excess into the seams while removing what was left, which would have looked whitish. After the wax dried, I buffed each shoe with a shoe shine cloth. No residue and the shoes look great. For an ultralight packer (carryon for 6 weeks), this seems like the optimal solution. And,if I’m concerned, I can throw the 100gm tube into my TSA “liquids” pouch and apply more while traveling if needed.I will try to update after I’ve field tested their waterproofing - but, with this much wax, I can’t see how they won’t work pretty well.

Water and snow bead right off after Sno-Seal is applied!
Sno-Seal penetrates leather to protect it and waterproof it. I purchased a pair of snow boots a few months ago. I applied Sno-Seal because they boots are all leather and I wanted to make sure they were protected from start. I'm so glad I did. My family went sledding a few days after I applied Sno-Seal and the snow and water wouldn't stick to the leather. It was pretty amazing. It's so easy to apply and works so well, why wouldn't you use it? Since, I've aplied Sno-Seal to other leather boots and gear, and I'm so glad I made the small investment. Thanks Sno-Seal.

A must-have to preserve leather shoes and boots.
This is the best stuff you can use to protect your leather in wet or icy climates. Be sure to do touch-up treatments every couple of months on heavily- used footwear, especially in snowy weather where the walkways get salted. I recommend using a warm blow dryer to help melt a few layers of this stuff deep into the leather.

This is the best water proofing for shoes
SnoSeal waterproofs shows better than anything else I have tried. However, there are a couple things to consider before using SnoSeal. It will significantly darken your shoes. If you want your shoes to stay the same color, try something else. For my part, I bought shoes that were Tan and the SnoSeal darkened them to the brown color I wanted.Care must be taken to apply it. It is a wax based waterproofing, so you must make sure that you apply it to every part of your shoe.

Water-resistant
So far so good. This stuff is thick but easy to apply with a cloth. I put two layers on my new leather boots. It did darken the color of my boots a shade, but with wear I’m sure will lighten. No water spots on my boots and they are essentially water-resistant with SNO-SEAL. Side note: apply in a well ventilated area... the smell is quite strong.

Best leather conditioning and water proofing
I love this waterproof wax, started using Sno Seal when I was in West Germany in the 80s, this is the best way to treat and condition leather. I have not seen it in stores, and mink oil has really never been my favorite, I have waded streams, and trudged through deep European snow, and Sno Seal has never let my feet get wet, highly recommend.

GOOD PRODUCT FOR WATERPROOFING LEATHER
No better or worse than G-Wax but doesn't darken the leather as much. Follow the instructions and you'll not go wrong. It is a little hard to squeeze the tube so you need to warm it up a little. Waterproofs and nourishes the leather and is good at it too but the tube only holds 100g.

Tube burst on first use / got a refund.
The tube burst the first time I used it, but it did do a good job on my shoes. Not exactly great value when it is single use...I did get a refund though, but a bit annoying.

Excellent waterproofing for leather boots and shoes
Whilst mine came with German labelling the product is the same excellent wax that I have used with great satisfaction for the last 15 years. My new boots absorbed almost the entire tube, but are now lovely and waterproof.

Great Skate Sealer
I bought this after a recommendation for waterproofing and sealing my sons expensive ice skates. It is really easy to use and works a treat. Stops all the moisture from soaking into the skate through the sole plate. I am now using it to waterproof our walking boots. Great stuff and a good price
