Pleasantly surprised.
I had my doubts, considering the low cost. I've used inexpensive after market carburetors on small engines before with mixed results. If you look at the throttle plate in a carburetor like this, compared to an OEM, the fit is pretty sloppy, with visible air gaps around it. The good news is that really doesn't matter on a lawn mower because you aren't running it at a low idle. So I found this carb fit perfectly, and ran fine. They were thoughtful enough to send two gaskets, which are often needed to seal the plastic plate properly. The priming bulb worked well also. In fact, everything included worked well. An awful lot of thought goes into a kit like this. It includes every little thing that you might need. That speaks well for the manufacturer/supplier. Five stars plus.

Works just like the original.
Works great. I was hesitant to buy this, but I'm glad I did. Want hard to install just make sure you take the protective cover of the primer cage.

Carb works, primer plate did not
The was for my Craftsman 6.5 HP mower. I thought the price was good. My carb was bad and needed to be replaced. The mower would not run with the new carb and new primer plate. For some reason it would not seal against the carb even with a double gasket. I decided to use my old plate that was still good. The old plate primed just fine and the mower started right up. I decided to just keep the new primer plate and use it for parts, especially the primer bulb. I didn't use the spark plug. I ran the mower for at least an hour in heavy weeds and it worked great.

Nice tune-up kit
Worked great! I purchased for the carb (perfect fit) but included was gaskets, new air cleaner and spark plug as well as the new primer bulb assembly. Overall a great deal.

All I can say is wow...
I figured it was cheap so what do I have to lose... It was my dad's old mower and it's been sitting in my barn for 15 years. I may have used it way back to cut areas inaccessible with my tractor but it's been a LONG time.Dug it out and took it apart only to determine the carb was long past gone. Got some part numbers and ordered the kit. Really simple fix, had everything in the box and the only mod was opening the hole a tad on the plastic carb linkage because my governor rod was a bit tight and binding.Aside from changing the oil, getting the wheels rolling and the handle to move for the flywheel brake, I proceeded with some skepticism. But I was willing to try.THREE PULLS!!!! Runs perfect!!! I am one happy man and my dad's old mower is running like a finely tuned cutting machine again!

Did not seem to work as it should.
I pulled my walk behind weed eater out of the garage having a vague memory of it not working a few years ago when I tried it last. I figured that like most small engine issues I've dealt with - it was probably a gummed up carburetor and these days a new one is less than $30 - so I ordered this replacement. Easy fix - I thought. When it arrived I installed it and was confused that the engine did NOT run well with it. I don't know all of the proper terminology so it is hard to describe small engine symptoms... but it sort of stuttered along at an idle and would not run smoothly. I was sure that I had done something wrong on the install - and so took it off - checked everything to make sure that the moving parts moved, put on a different spark plug just in case that was the issue, put the carb back on and started it again. Same issue. It just kind of barely ran. In a last ditch effort, I put the old carb back on to see what it would do - and was surprised that it ran flawlessly. Which of course made me wonder why I didn't test the thing out right away before buying the new carb. But in any case - bottom line is that the carb that was sent to me, even though it looked identical in every way to the original one and appeared to be in good shape, did not work at all. In the end I'm not positive what the issue is - but the evidence points to either a poor quality product or poor quality assurance testing at the factory.

Why rebuild or pay a shop
Bought this for my mal-functioning lawnmower that had the carb gunked up over the winter. Why spend hundreds to have it repaired or even as much for a rebuild kit. This kit came with all I needed (and then some). Great value and the installation was easy, even for the novice with minimal tools. It was a quick especially since I didn’t have to take to and pick up from a repair shop or spend time on the rebuild…easy off-easy on, very quick
