Raggedy Ann and Andy Stories Paperback – December 26, 2011

Very important: in the paperback version there are no pictures. That should be clearly noted in the description of the book because people assume that it will be like the hardcover. Also, the typeface is rather small for children. Very disappointing.

I have made each of my four granddaughters a handmade Raggedy Ann doll. I continued the tradition even though the first one didn't act especially excited about it. Then, as I was sewing the last one, it occurred that they didn'nt even know who Raggedy Ann was. I bought 4 books and have them each one. Now they understand what their dolls mean and appreciate them for the story they tell.

This book is manuscript only. There are no pictures. I am returning this book because, from my perspective, the pictures are important in helping my child imagine the dolls coming to life. In addition, the pictures have a special, antique look which adds to the charm of the book.

I have only read one of the little stories.I mainly bought the book because of having the stories when I was a small child. Brought back fond memories of my Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls.

This was given as a gift along with the Ann and Andy dolls. Lovely gentle stories! I had the original book as a child, and always believed that the dolls came to life after I left the room!

A great book to go with the dolls I got for my grnd daughter.
