Laverapelle Men's Genuine Lambskin Leather Jacket (Black, Biker Jacket) - 1501200

This jacket is a complete waste of money, and the absolute worst grade leather that you can buy. It is extremely thin, and I doubt it will last longer than a year. It breaks my heart, because the style is great. It fits VERY TIGHT- but looks like the promo. But don't think you'll be impressing anyone... Have fun arguing with your friends that it's genuine leather or that you paid over $150 for it. It kind of smells a little real- but looks and feels utterly faux. It looks like you spent under $60 for this. And, I hope you wear jackets in fair weather. Because this jacket WILL NOT KEEP YOU WARM. The shell is as thin as it gets, and there is no lining whatsoever. The last jacket I spent this much on lasted over 15 years. I actually still wear it. The leather is slightly distressed, but still feels and SOUNDS like the real thing. This Laverapelle one feels fake, makes no sound whatsoever, and will last probably a year or less. I won't buy online leather EVER AGAIN. I'm BEYOND disappointed with this purchase. If you've ever owned a real leather jacket, this one will PALE in comparison. My one star is ONLY for the style of the jacket.

Really glad I took a chance on this jacket. I was unsure what quality leather, tailoring, and craftsmanship to expect, but I'm very pleased with the producr all around. This is a nice jacket! I’m thrilled to find a good-looking jacket that fits my unusual size, and doesn’t break the bank. I’ve already placed another order to see how well they do with black cowhide.Fit / TailoringFor me, this is the big issue. I’m 6’2”, 180#, with especially long arms. Off the rack mediums fit my torso, but my sleeve length is XL. Trying to get standard size clothing tailored to fit me, and even ordering made-to-measure from some places, often results in awkwardly fitting unwearable disasters.But I’m stoked with the job Laverapellle did. It fits! The sleeves are just the right length, and it’s a good slim fit through my chest and waist. It looks good over a t-shirt, and looks snug but not stressed over a sweatshirt. I was worried that without an action back the sleeves might get too short when my arms are forward for driving/punching/zombie-walking. But no, the arm holes and nice and high and the sleeves don’t shrink dramatically through my range of typical motion.DetailingThe model 1501200 seems (very) inspired by another designer’s jacket. I prefer the collar on that other designer’s pictures, but this jacket is no slouch. The stitching is all attractive, and the hardware works well. I like the attention to detail that’s been put in, like the inclusion of a sewn-in spares pouch, and how the trim along the exterior pocket zippers hides everything but the slider bar.FeelIt’s lambskin. It feels soft and great, and like most real lambskin jackets it feels thinner and more delicate than many other leathers. My wife’s italian lambskin jacket does have a finer slightly more buttery feel.ColorThe Vax Brown is okay. It’s a medium-tone brown, but it’s a little more reddish than I was expecting. It’s a terracotta hue. There’s some applied mottling in the darkness which, in person, looks a little applied. But for a $200 made-to-measure jacket, I'm not complaining.PocketsPockets overall are very good.The lower front pockets are not zippered, and are deep enough to get fists into. I like that they’re diagonally cut, as I’ve found vertical unfastened belly pocket openings can tend to pucker after I’ve had a big meal.The upper front pockets are zippered, and deep enough I could fit my flat hands entirely into them.The left arm pocket is a real pocket. And it’s big enough I can fit my flat hand entirely in it; you’ll fit your smokes in there no problem.The two interior breast pockets (one is zippered, one is not) have a nice leather trim at the opening, but are bigger than I would like. I’d say they’re roughly the size of CD jewel cases (ask your parents), so my phone or glasses tend to end up on their sides deep at the bottom and aren't quick to retrieve.ServiceMy order was filled flawlessly, so I didn’t have an opportunity to test their customer service. I submitted my unusual body measurements and very reasonable payment on the evening of January 10th. A perfectly-fitting, stylish, quality lambskin jacket arrived on my doorstep the morning of January 21. What a time to be alive!

This is a nice leather jacket. I have more of an athletic but slightly lean build (I'm 6' tall and I wear Large in shirts and 42 L Slim jackets in US sizes). I purchased the XL and it fits perfectly. It is a relatively light leather jacket, so I'm not sure yet how it will hold up in cold temperatures but great for fall and spring. It feels nice and soft to the touch.The only drawback I have is I thought the jacket would be glossier based on the product image. It is actually more on the matte side. It still looks nice though. The sellers should use better/clearer pictures.

Ok first the good. The custom fit as expected. That’s it. Now the bad... I literally put my hand in the pocket and the material is so thin the corner of the pocket ripped. Not along a seem but the leather tore. The leather did not smell like a good leather jacket either. VERY CHEAP. Also it comes from Pakistan. Who knows where this money is being funneled to? I don’t want my money being used to buy ammo. Aside from that I sent it back and they did refund the item as promised.

I got this as a gift for my boyfriend who is 6'3". Normally he wears a XXL shirt, but I got a XXXL because XXL dress shirts have short arms for him. The Jacket fits okay but when he stretches his arms his wrists are exposed and when he bends his arms or flexes he says its tight and he could rip it if he really wanted to (hes had leather jackets for over 40yrs so he knows!). Overall it's good but if you are a guy with long arms or work out then I would recommend a different brand for a better fit. FYI my man isn't RIPPED or body builder type, he does maintenance work so I would consider him to have an average working man's muscle mass.

I wasn’t sure about what size to choose, so I decided to go with the custom tailored option. I took my own full set of measurements and emailed them to the link provided. The jacket fits perfectly! And I do mean perfectly. I’ve bought suits off the rack before and they’re acceptable, but when I put on one of my custom tailored suits there’s no comparison. This jacket is the same way when compared to other jackets I’ve bought off the rack. It’s like it was made for me... because it was.Quality wise, the leather and stitching are beautiful! For $200 I bought a similar leather jacket at the mall a few years ago that I’ve only wore it a handful of times because the leather just looks and feels cheap. This jacket looks and feels like others I’ve priced at more than double that. It’s one of the best purchases I’ve made as far as clothing goes and I’m confident I’ll continue to love it for years to come.
