enthralling read!!!!
I must say, I did somewhat battle at first to get into this novel, but, it wasn't long before I just could not put it down, reading into the early hours of the morning, and today, there was no way I was putting this book down until I found out what happened in the end!!!! Tatiana I just could not get to like!!! And Brett I hated with a passion.....I experienced lots of mixed emotions myself...... Quite extraordinary !!!!!

Loved the Inheritance
I love Tilly Bagshawe stories and am always happy when she puts an new one out. I knew that The Show was coming so I reread The Inheritance in one day, just did not want to put it down. The characters are funny, lovable, annoying, and probably will remind you of members of your own family. A great read and a good time.

Lighthearted and fun.
very much in the style of Jilly Cooper, a nice light weight read, perfect for the beach or on an aircraft.

I miss his books terribly but I must say
I see a lot of Sidney Sheldon in TIlly Bagshawe's writing. I've read everything he wrote. I miss his books terribly but I must say, Tilly keeps the fire burning. I enjoyed The Inheritance and looking forward to her new release in October.

I borrowed this book from the library just before I went on holiday. I had to take it back before I finished it so I downloaded onto my kindle. Tilly is a female Jeffrey Archer

Dire
Whoever declared Tilly Bagshawe the natural successor to Jilly Cooper needs their head examining... I would rather compare her to Enid Blyton for the poor quality of the writing... and there is a total lack of substance to the story... she seems to have wildly rushed into this book with little direction and then realising its going nowhere fast slams in a crazy ending, she doesn't create believable characters nor are they appealing... they're flat cardboard cut outs with nothing to redeem them. The story drifts into the ridiculous quite early on and just stays there... life is not long enough for me to buy any more of these dreadful tales... especially when it ends with two people who have barely communicated declaring their love it is a suspension of reality that stretched too far...Quite frankly I feel ripped off. Jilly's books are full of fleshed out characters, whom you can both love and hate, her ability to describe them and tell us about them intertwines them into her story rather than having the jerky stop start of Tilly trying to cram in another characters backstory that we don't need and frankly couldn't care less about and inability to fully form a character let alone describe them succinctly which drags it on through page after interminable page... Cooper luxuriates in her descriptions of places too yet Bagshawe flicks them a glance and forgets we cannot see her vision unless she actually writes it down... definitely not worth bothering with.

Good product but no Jilly Cooper
Quite a long winded start ,it took 4 chapters just to describe characters and get story line in place, so pacy it is NOT. Then in chapter 5 begger me if it's not still recapping .Why this author is compared to JILLY COOPER I have no idea, for like her she is NOT. Once it gets going it still feels drawn out enough for me to stop reading and write this review ,says it all really. But it is non the less readable and am intrigued enough to keep me reading.

Intriguing
When Tatiana Flint Hamilton's father dies, leaving Furlings, his country estate, to a distant relative from Australia, to punish his disobedient daughter, it is the beginning of a rollercoaster of mishaps and emotions, as she embarks on getting it back. But Brett Cranley is a ruthless self made millionaire who will not give her what she wants, especially now his family have taken to living in their new home. A very interesting, fun book, with plots and sub plots to suit everyone. It is such a joy to read a book written in the third person too, they are becoming hard to find these days. Recommended, it will keep you going.

There were tedious references to shops and manufacturers which may mean something ...
This was a well written book with a new angle on the old problem of the disinherited heiress. My interest was held throughout the first half, as the action took place predominantly in the village, it waned for most of the second half as we wandered off into the world of big business and board rooms, and then I was fascintaed by the end. There were tedious references to shops and manufacturers which may mean something to someone, and the foul language was difficult to stomach. I had difficulty following character changes as rebels metamorphed to embrace society, and clean-living people became druggies and arsonists, sex addicts became celebate overnight, and very few characters survived the whole book without a blotted copybook. It is a sad indictment of rich living. Anyone buying the book for the first chapter or the cover picture will be disappointed.

I haven't even bothered to really read it yet as so disappointed. This is an author who I have followed
I couldn't believe it when I recceived this book. Thought the author's name was a misprint as every detail, style and format appears to be that of Jilly Cooper. I haven't even bothered to really read it yet as so disappointed. This is an author who I have followed, not too keen on her first books but she got better and better and I really enjoyed her books. However, this is ridiculous (seems almost like copy-cat style and would hardly be accidental as all Mrs Cooper's books follow this exact pattern and have done for years.

An amazing book difficult to put down
An excellent read, the main characters came to life, it was a book had difficulty putting down, so loads of late night reading. If like Jilly Cooper novels, this in a similar array of villiage characters or villains that you love to hate and sometime find out turn out into an unlikely hero or heroine.

She's the total author to go to if you want to immerse yourself in the super rich, designer labels and scandals
I have not read a Tilly Bagshawe for years and shame on me! She's the total author to go to if you want to immerse yourself in the super rich, designer labels and scandals. I was really drawn into the plot and characters. All so believable and real. Would recommend this book highly.

Great book
Traps you from the beginning, lovely read but loses you a bit when it becomes to unreal. Too much bad luck in a run and the ending is suddenly happy ever after but how?

I usually love Tilly Bagshaw
I usually love Tilly Bagshaw, but this book was just too long, it never really got to the point and the story just went round the houses. I didn't feel I liked any of the characters. In parts it was very good, and have subsequently found that this was released in stages which probably would have been better to break the story up.

Cracking read
Highly reminiscent of Jilly Coopers novels evoking the same feelings for the characters Tilly has so vividly bought to life, from the ruthless Brett to the housekeeper Mrs Worsley this tells a wonderfully rich story of village life, definitely worth a read.
