Staedtler Mars Technico Lead Holder (780 C)

I’ve been using the Staedtler Mars 780C at my desk for a mix of note-taking and sketching, and it honestly feels more like a proper drafting tool than a regular pencil. The metal body has a nice bit of weight without being tiring, and the knurled grip section gives you good control for detailed lines. The 2mm lead feels smooth on paper and doesn’t snap easily like thinner mechanical leads, which makes it great for quick jotting and rough sketching. The push-clutch mechanism is simple, reliable, and kind of addictive to click if I’m being honest. A couple tradeoffs to know before buying: this isn’t a clicky 0.5mm mechanical pencil you use straight out of the box and forget about. Because it’s a 2mm lead holder, you’ll want a lead pointer to keep the tip sharp, otherwise the line can get a bit thick for fine writing. There’s also no built-in eraser, so you need a separate eraser on the desk. None of that bothers me personally, but it’s something to consider if you wanted a all-in-one everyday school pencil. Overall though, the build quality feels premium, the lead advances smoothly, and it’s the kind of tool that makes you weirdly happy to pick it up and write with it alot.

Still a quality lead holder. I've been using these since high school drafting class in the late '80's. They hold the lead firmly and are durable. I use them for marking cut lines on lumber for my weekend projects.

Really nice , if your an artist it's worth trying you will probably end up liking it , Versatile, 2mm leads and you can sharpen them for finer work and having a few with different sharpness is nice too

This pencil comes with one 2mm lead. You can purchase additional 2mm leads in varying options,eg: 4B, HB, F, etc. There are also colored leads you can use with this pencil. I would buy again

Clutch holder is nice in the hands and easy to use. It's nice and slim and works great when writing for some time. Only complaint is that I did not receive any extra leads or eraser that is supposed to cone with the pencil. Kind of a bummer.

Works as advertised. Love the sharpener at top to. Do not use it but in a pinch. Good to know it’s your sharpener backup tho. I bought a sharpener that works very well. A Japanese mfg. can’t remember brand but is brown and very small. Makes a great partner and a sharp point.

Material muito bom, funciona muito bem. Poderiam ter caprichado nas escritas no corpo da lapiseira, pois com pouco tempo de uso a tinta com as escritas se apagam. As escritas são informações sobre ser produzido na Alemanha, marca da lapiseira, essas informações que acabam sumindo. Mas a lapiseira em si muito boa.
