Great keyboard, really good once you mod it
This keyboard is pretty great stock. Small but hefty, Cherry MX Browns sound decent stock but the stabilizers are buns. I'd recommend Cherry Plate mount stabs, band aid mod and some foam. If you really want to go all out, lube your switches. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials to do this. In terms of the software, yes it's kind of inconvenient. But I don't think changing LEDs is something you do every day (I change LEDs for holidays like Halloween). A lot of people seem to be having trouble so I'm gonna post a short tutorial to make it really easy. 1) Download the applet-mdflash.bin and mdloader_windows.exe from the GitHub(the little card that comes in the box will tell you where to get this). Put both of those downloaded files in a folder called Keyboard Config. 2) Open the folder, right click and create a new text file. Change the extension to .bat. Rename it to whatever you want. 3) Right click your new bat file, click edit and type in this: @echo off set /p ConfigFile=Enter config file path: mdloader_windows.exe --first --download %ConfigFile% --restart pause 4) Go to the Drop keyboard configurator, which will allow you to configure your keyboard. Then compile it and when it asks you where to save it, save it to the Keyboard Configurator folder that you made in step 1. 5) double click your .bat file. It will ask you for the config file you downloaded in step 4. Press Tab until you see that file name. Hit enter and then press the reset button under your keyboard. 6)Your config should be applied. You can save multiple config files, and by running that .bat file you can apply any config in your Keyboard Config folder easily (by pressing Tab to cycle through all the files in the folder), without having to change the file name every time you want to change your config. Hopefully this makes it a bit easier to apply different configs.

RGB's turn off Defective!
I loved the thought of this keyboard but after going through 2 of these, they both were defective. The RGB LED lights do not stay on for more than any hour. After research, this seems to be a common problem amongst this keyboard. The RGBs do need a lot of power but USB 3.0/3.1 is supposed to be sufficient. Hopefully Drop fixes this poor quality control in the future, but for now I am going with the Glorious MMK instead.

Good entry or possible endgame for Custom Mechanical Keyboards
What I like: +Hotswap +RGB +Case and keycap quality +USB C +Plate mounted switches, makes for easier upgrades What I did not like: -Awful stabilizers, especially spacebar -Lighting is dim compared to gaming keyboards half the price -Included USB C cable doesn't match the color of the case (Grey cable, Black Case) As a package I think it's a great value compared to customs. Drop and Amazon usually have these readily available if you don't want to spend a crazy amount of money and time for customs.

An absolute joy to type on
This keyboard is a joy to type on. Compared to the plastic/membrane keyboards, typing on this keyboard feels more fluid and as one other reviewer put it - "typing doesn't feel like a chore." My WPM went from around 60 to an insane 80 WPM because I am more accurate with key presses. The build quality of this keyboard is not even in the same league as the plastic ones. It feels heavy with a solid metal bottom plate and doesn't feel cheap at all. If you've been on the fence about weather or not to buy a solid mechanical keyboard - DO IT! It is well worth the money and you will certainly feel the difference and thank yourself later.

Multiple switches prematurely wearing out
The build of this keyboard is nice. It has the weight and feel of a quality product (and it should, it isn't cheap). My issue is, and the reason I can't rate it any higher is that over the last 3 months my switches are all starting to fail. Specifically causing duplication as I type, which is very annoying when you type for a living. I've used the keyboard heavily for work since I purchased it (software development), but nothing outside of normal operation. Cherry switches should last much longer than they are, so I have absolutely no clue what's going on there other than either getting cloned/fake switches (not insinuating, but it happens) or just a bad batch. I know that just buying a bundle of new switches is "cheap" and "easy", but I genuinely feel like after such a short amount of time I shouldn't have to. I'm still rocking an old black widow on my gaming rig that I've been using for almost 10 years straight with zero issues. Huge difference from what I'm experiencing on this drop alt board which "feels" like such a higher quality product. Bummer.

Changed my life
Just buy it. Its truly the best keyboard. For how nice this feels and how much pleasure it brings to use my computer I'd happily pay twice this price to get another one.

sticky keys
keys 'stick' -> if i press 'e' it might write 3 e's. It's intermittent behavior, but frequent enough to replace it. It is nnot as good as the taiwan pok3r board i had previously. (I left the nnot there because that is an example of the keys sticking).

Yes, you’ve read the title right! Expensive, but worth it!

I was excited to get this pretty key board and chose two day shipping. That was a mistake as it sat in the sorting warehouse for a week before moving on (due to COVD-19 I'm guessing), ended up being 10 days for delivery. But that doesn't reflect on the keyboard in any way. My issues are with the quality vs price. I purchased the pre-built, Cherry MX Brown switches. This is a beautiful board, LED lighting patterns (only two default) are smooth and bright, however the lighting does not show well through the cheap feeling key caps which I would need to replace, costing another +$150 for quality key caps (if you can even find them to order these days). Second big issue is the horrible stabilizers that cannot be replaced with screw-in stabs due to the PCB not providing screw holes. Again, more money to replace these. Next, pinging - possibly a result of the metal board, but it's annoying to the point of distraction. Next, software - too complicated and not user friendly unless you are already a programming guru. All in all, I'm sad to return this since I was so excited to find it available on Amazon, but for me I think it a better option to do my own custom, hot swappable build with better quality parts. Unfortunately, the blank is now not available.
