It's definitely waterproof, not water "resistant."
First I suggest buying one size larger than what you normally may wear, to accommodate the clothing you will have on underneath.Upon arrival of the jacket I unfurled it, turned on the tap, and held a sleeve directly under the faucet. I held it there for at least 1 minute. I could see the water beading on the sleeve. After turning off the tap, I shook the sleeve to remove the droplets, turned the sleeve inside out, and it was perfectly dry.I love the long length, the zipper that works from either top to bottom, or bottom to top, to afford room when sitting.Add a pair of rain pants and a pair of waterproof boots, and you will be good to go remaining fully dry even in the hardest of downpours.I recommend watching the video of a reviewer who put on the coat and stood under her shower. That clinched the purchase for me.I highly recommend purchasing this raincoat and for its quality, I believe it to be very reasonably priced!

Kept most of me dry
I bought this jacket to wear to a football game. There was moderate rain. The jacket itself was water resistant. However, when I was sitting the water went through the bottom of the jacket below the zipper. My knees were very wet. It could use velcro to keep that area closed. My daughter had the same issue. Otherwise it did a good job.

Great value
Hooded, lightweight rain coat. Just runs a size too large.

Good overall
Pros: - elastic wrist cuffs so water doesn't get in sleeve when you reach up to adjust your hood - drawstring on hood so it can be tightened around face and doesn't blow or slip back - deep pockets that fit a large phone - mesh lining so that the material doesn't stick to bare arms, adds a little warmth, but this is still a light summery rain jacket - material can breathe (not plastic) - large zipper works wellCons: - 4 out of 5 stars on quality - it's acceptable, but, for example, one of the front snaps that close the flap over the main zipper is right on the edge of the flap and looks weird. pocket flaps don't have snap or zipper - body is water resistant, not waterproof or plastic coated (I haven't worn it in rain) - pockets don't close - pocket flaps don't have snap or zipper - so if they are over filled or phone leans out, the flap on top is uselessSizing5'7", 160lb, 12 pants, 34F - size large is extra roomy like an XL, the cut is boxy and it's not stretchy at all. it doesn't look bad and it's fine unless you are looking for a more flattering fit versus utility and comfort.

Light Weight Raincoat that is Packable for Travel
The teal blue raincoat arrived within 24 hours and fit exactly as expected. I was somewhat worried about two reviews that mentioned the hood size and difficulty with the zipper. For me, the hood is perfect because it is large enough to pull over my head without damaging my hairstyle and can be cinched tighter if necessary. The zipper can be a little tough to put together at the bottom so you must make an effort to push the right zipper side ALL THE WAY down into the left zipper side before you start to Zip up the coat. I could actually hear a little "click" when the zipper sides were in the correct alignment. The color is exactly as I expected and the fit is perfect. The best part is that I can zip the coat into the smaller pouch for travel. Definitely glad I purchased this coat.

Perfect raincoat for my trip!
I have checked out a lot of raincoat before deciding on this. It has exactly the pink rose color as in the pictures. The fabric seems heavy duty as it is thicker and not see through. The zipper looks sturdy and the fit was perfect as the length. It is water resistant as I noticed it creates a water shadow when you rub the droplets to stay wet.I’d say it looks fashionable for a trip to Europe on a budget!

This coat is lightweight and the perfect length to keep your upper and lower body dry. Very comfortable!

Finally--a Raincoat That Works!
I tried so hard to find a waterproof, windbreaker-type jacket for my trip to Iceland. This one finally did the job. It kept me warm (with my sweater layers underneath) and dry (so important when that chilly, piercing rain came at me sideways). Highly recommend. BTW, just work with the zipper feature; it wasn't easy at first, but it's quite doable with a little practice.

Not too shabby
I'm a professional dog walker in Canada so being wet isn't an option for me. I bought this based off another walker's review and pretty happy with it. We haven't had a huge downpour yet but it's held up to the light/medium rain we had today. It zips from both ends, super long and fit not only my second thick sweater but my walking pouch underneath with no issues. Don't love the hood, a little large and covers my eyes but love how long the coat actually is! Fits a little bigger than normal sizing

Raincoat Is Great In A Downpour!!!!
I live on the West Coast of British Columbia in the Greater Vancouver Area. I walk in all weather and I likethis raincoat because it is long. I have lots of stylish raincoats but they are not long enough in a downpour. As well, with a great pair of water proof boots I really stayed dry. I don't care about style but stayingdry when I am walking in bad weather. This raincoat does the trick and I was not able to obtain one inthe longer length at my local mall. Luckily, I tried Amazon.ca before I gave up and found this raincoat.Sincerely,Noreen Atamanchuk

Nice and roomy
The mac is nice and long and quite roomy so you can wear this over your winter coat. The colour is slightly different, but still nice. So far so good.

Very nice rain coat
This is a really nice rain coat. It has all the details that you’d expect in a more expensive coat: 2-way zipper, draw strings on the hood, vent on the bottom of the back, snaps as well as the zipper, large pockets with big flaps on them, and it’s feather light. Just as others have said, it runs very large — I would guess 2 sizes large. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is very warm — in my opinion, too warm for summer wear. It is 68 degrees here today with a fairly strong breeze, no sun, drizzling, and about 80% humidity — I started wearing this on my walk this morning and ended up taking it off half way through my walk. So while I won’t wear it in the summer, it is definitely my go-to rain coat in the spring and fall when it’s cooler.

Great raincoat. Ordered XLarge but it was much too big, returned it and ordered Large. Perfect fit. Totallly rain proof and it also cuts the wind. Love it.
