Livro difícil de ler.
Comprei esperando uma leitura mais fluida, mas o livro é praticamente um handbook/dicionário. Muito difícil de ler fluidamente.

Tart's article "Mutual Hypnosis" is a MUST READ
The Chapter is "Mutual Hypnosis" IS A MUST READ. Probably the most important article I have read. Has to do with 2 people hypnotizing themselves while in hypnosis. Together, they became unresponsive to the hypnotist, and existed, two energy bodies/consciousnesses, in the same space. When Tart told them to have a day dream, each privately to themselves, and to signal when the dream is done, the two who hypnotized themselves deeper and deeper (now you go) deeper and deeper; Ok now YOU go deeper and so on. The states were unbelievably powerful, and this appears to be the deepest hypnosis that we, as positive souls, can experience. I am even reminded of the Edgar Cayce readings, and the Ra Material, which speak of Atlantis. That sexual energy ... (two in one space, deeper, yes, deeper), if it can reach and be used by the 3rd eye of both parties, LIFE CAN BE CREATED. That is how they made life forms apparently. We fell apparently because we stopped focusing on improving ourselves, and instead made "beasts of burden" to serve us. No drugs needed -- consciousness opens the door to awareness beyond the ordinary. There is a 20 page article, by anonymous, on "The Effects of marijuana on Consciousness", advocating its use. Many more articles, grouped evenly on: LSD. dreaming, hypnosis, that strange thing the hypnagogic state & meditation.Erickson's article with Huxley is included. (A real shame we don't have Huxley's account, the two of them got together and planned on each writing an article. 1/2 the genius was lost in a fire that destroyed Huxley's Lose Angeles home.Yes, I strongly recommend this book to hypnotists interested in mystical experience. Is this not the proper domain of hypnosis? Seems that we hypnotists, overall, are falling short of the potential hypnosis -- which is simply the process of communicating ideas effectively (Erickson) -- as a spiritual tool. Instead of using hypnosis to affect change in the body, hypnosis should be being used to help others reach higher consciousness. Gerry Kein's Ultra Height presents a good standard model of achieving this, by the way -- but there should be more still. If someone wants to lose weight .... have them find the Light of Love. That newly unleashed intelligent energy will automatically cause weight to drop off.Great material inside. Without question belongs in your Library.

Treasure House of the Varieties of Human Conscious Experience
This book is so extraordinary it took me two years to read it. I would read one or two of the papers, then walk around spaced out for a few months, then another one or two chapters.... For the adventurers in human consciousness this book is a treasure house. Written on both a high intellectual and also a highly conscious level, it offers what is possibly the best collection of glimpses into the varieties of human consciousness. I was so taken by this book that I made it a point to go meet the author where he was teaching at UC Davis. One of the biggest names in the pioneering of human consciousness.

Formatting could be improved
I think the book's subject matter is interesting, for sure, but the formatting of this eBook is definitely in need of work. It feels sloppily put together. I'd look for a print edition instead, if possible.

"An Exhaustive Read"
I can't believe I finished this book, definatly for people in the field of Psychiatry or the very curious about the study of psychedelics, hypnosis and meditation, with all the positive studies on Marijuana and LSD I can't believe they are not legal in the proper dosages.Interesting points in the book are,Dr.Jung said "Psychologists project their way of thinking on a patient to be normal", normal state of consciousness is the adaptive value within your particular culture and environment, breathing exercises alter carbon dioxide intake and produce an altered state of consciousness.Marijuana is not a narcotic and it inhibits aggressive behavior.
