Beautiful
This chair is beautiful. It is very strongly made, well designed. easy to assemble, and looks terrific. Frankly, for this price I was expecting a lesser product, but was very pleasantly surprised. The chair is minimal and sculptural, with a definite Scandinavian vibe. Beautiful. I bought the natural wood chair with black upholstery, so I can't vouch for the aesthetic of any of the other color options. It's difficult to imagine a more minimal design for a chair that still would be comfortable. It feels strong and safe when I sit down in it, as the bent wood gives reassuringly and then springs slightly back. This chair enhances greatly the ambiance of my sitting room.I have one teeny-weeny issue with this beautiful chair, however. The seat cover zips on, and the zipper runs top-to-bottom (that is, headrest to front of seat). This means that the zipper tab is visible under the front of the seat. Making the zipper run bottom-to-top easily would fix this (tiny) issue. Some less-favorable reviewers have said that the chair breaks when 'heavy' people sit in it. The same would be true of almost ANY chair worth owning (Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona chair or the Eames Lounger, for example, both would be fatally and irreparably 'redesigned' by a 250lbs owner). It really isn't the fault of the chair! So please don't be put off by the insanely-low price: it's about the same price as a month's-worth of Starbucks coffee, right? Go without your triple caramel frappo-latte for a month and buy the chair.

Definitely not a good buy when all is said and done....
I would not recommend this chair. It is comfortable, and the basic construction (wooden arms/legs and metal frame for seat pad) are all solid, but the big issue is that it has these plastic bands (similar to what would wrap a stack of newspapers or magazines) for support. They wrap the metal frame that the pad sits on, and they cross at right angles. You'll notice they do not show in the picture of the product....These bands were fine for about 2 months, but then gradually would space apart as they stretched and increased in size. After two months, they slowly started to snap, one-by-one. I would be watching some tv, perhaps eating a snack, and "POP" another one would go (definitely a bit surprising). They continued popping, maybe one every 3-4 weeks until the chair was basically a hazard (the last 4 or 5 bands may all snap at the same time) and not usable except for maybe a light child.I just don't think this is worth the money (even though the price is very reasonable) to get a chair that may last you 6-8 months. By the way, I'm about 6'1" tall and weigh 195 lbs. I don't think it is too much to ask that a seat be strong enough to support my weight.

impressed with this chair
This looks exactly like most of the ikea chairs out there on the market at about half the price. Putting it together was a piece of cake (getting the cover over the frame was a bit much though). The cushion is very firm even with the headrest, but it's very sturdy, so I don't doubt the weight limit. The structure allows you to sit motionless or you can self-propel a mild rocker motion. Very nice chair. Really impressed.

Really comfortable
This chair is really comfortable and was easy to put together. I was a little confused about how the holes in the cushion fit on to the screws but I figured it out. I think they would work better if the ring could have fit between the seat frame and the wooden frame, but whatever. It stays on. I gave it 4 stars because the bands in the frame are kind of ugly. They look like the stuff people wrap around cardboard boxes when they ship them and I expected a wood frame like the IKEA version, but for the price it was totally worth it.

Thinking About Another! (and did!)
Super easy to assemble; key for me with the cushions and cover was ignoring the directions sent and slipping the metal into the already placed cushions in the cover (rather than pulling cushion out, placing onto metal and then working cover over). Just a few adjustments with my hand for the proper alignment for the finishing hardware. Set up was (not counting unpacking) about 20 minutes!!Very comfortable, more so with my ottoman. I also added (will replace with either a small down pillow or memory foam pillow) some cushioning I had to the headrest pillow. If needed (I feel no need, it is very comfortable), could actually replace the foam seating.I have a loft apartment and this is a great reading/TV/dozing-off chair that fits the openness I shoot for. Having cats this is great due to wash ability. Sturdy, slimline, comfort and affordable--why not :-)

A good chair!!!
So far this chair is great! I was nervous after all the negative reviews, especially from heavier people! I put it together in 15 minutes! I am 230 and have a 30 pound toddler snuggling in me and I see no signs that the chair isn’t sturdy! It’s comfortable, wide enough to fit a heavy person, and nice to look at!Now, some tips. Be careful with the screws. With this type of wood if you screw them in too tight you could split the wood, which would lead to the chair being more breakable. So once you feel they’re secure and you feel a lot of resistance, stop. All in all it seems to be a great chair. I will update if anything changes

You won't regret it
This is a great chair! I was skeptical based on price, but it ended up being so much better than I thought. We had similar ones from the gigantic Swedish maze store, but they bounce too much for my comfort, and they didn't last nearly so long as I had hoped. This doesn't have nearly the same amount of give as its Swedish cousin, and that makes it feel more secure to me.It's also wider than the Swede, and the back doesn't extend up as high, which makes it so much more comfortable. I'm fairly tall, and this is still pretty comfortable--I don't feel like my knees are in my chest like I do with some other chairs.

Dreadful Quality for the Price
I ordered this simply because there are no IKEA locations remotely close to me and IKEA does not deliver to my location. For me to get a Poang chair I would have to drive for 6 hours and take a 16 hour ferry ride so this seemed like a decent alternative to the Poang chair.Sadly it is not remotely comfortable. It is hard to sit on, the neck is too low and the cushion sits by my shoulders rather than at my neck. It might be more suitable for a shorter person (I’m 5’8).Then there’s the matter of quality. One of the support straps came broken right out of the box, plus the wood was splintered. It gave me a nasty splinter in my hand as I was trying to assemble it.Very disappointed for the price I paid.I gave it 2 stars because it looks very nice and does resemble the style of a Poang chair. Beyond that, not at all happy with the purchase.

Not top quality
I found it difficult to assemble but learned something while doing it.However, the fabric that covers the metal frame is extremely thin cheap cotton and tore immediately.Very disappointing. The similar chair from IKEA is a much better buy.
