They end up stretching a little after time. My dog measured 14" and the medium stretched out too much. I ordered a small and it was a little too snug. So I ended up not putting the D ring through the hole, and just attached the velcro together in front of the D ring. The velcro is strong enough to hold the halter together without my dog pulling out of it.

Q: My dog's chest is 17" and the neck is 11" what size should i order??

You will need to measure the chest. The neck measurement is not needed as this harness fits around the chest area - ONLY. Be careful -- I thought this was a perfect idea but soon learned that even if it fits snug, that my dachshund was able to wiggle out of it.

My shipoo is 22 lbs and 21 at chest and got her an XL. Fits perfect and she can't wiggle out of it. Great choice!!
