A Missal for Children

I have looked for YEARS for a missal for children this comprehensive. It skips nothing. And it's totally fitting for the Mass today in spite of what one review said. I wish my parish would recommend it to all parents and even buy it in bulk to sell at Church. Children so desparatedly need this book as do parents so they can set a good example for their children who naturally tend to copy everything their parents do. Also, it is easier to help the child if the parent if fully familiar with the book. Get one for every member of your family. Study it. Read it together and God will bless you abundantly. I am thrilled to have found this jewel, at last, even if I have no children or grandchildren left to share it with. It is one giant step in the right direction for parents that wish to pass on the Faith and train their children up in the way to go. God bless!

Got it for her for a 1st communion gift, and she uses it at every single Sunday Mass to follow along with the priest. Fantastic buy!

Not only is this missal amazing for our 7 and 9 year old, as Protestants entering into full communion with the Catholic Church, this little missal is perfect for helping to explain the depth and beauty of the Holy Mass to adults in a simple yet profound and understandable way. I would also give this to our Protestant friends to help them see “this is what’s missing!” in the typical evangelical church gathering. This would be a great book for RCIA as well. So glad I found it.

This was a little hard for my 2nd grader to follow and wish it had more pictures, but what it does have is great! The artwork is beautiful and the hardback is handy.

This missal is both beautiful and practical. It has been wonderful for my 6 year old niece and my 8 year old son. It helps them follow along in the mass with helpful pictures, the words the priest says, and the responses and prayers we say. Now they can understand what is happening and participate more actively in mass! The cover is leather but hard, there is a ribbon placeholder. There are also helpful sections with common prayers, a guide for the sacrament of confession, a glossary, and explanations of the sacred vessels and vestments, etc.

My 10 year old has really gotten into our faith the last few months so we got him this so he could follow along with Mass easier. Would make a great First Communion gift.
