Excellent Net
Excellent net. Fast sinker. 1 1/4 pounds of lead per foot. I have 6 of the Lee Fisher nets. I have a 4.5 foot 3/8 mesh, a 5-foot 3/8 mesh, a 6 foot1 inch mesh, a 7 foot 2 inch stretched mesh and an 8 foot 2 1/4 mesh. My grandkids use the smaller one for baits, and we use the larger ones for mullet fishing here in Florida. I can't say enough about Lee Fisher cast nets. They are made here in Florida, and they do catch fish. I recommend soaking all mono cast nets in a solution of water and fabric softener. Buy the cheap stuff similar to Downy and mix a couple of cups in 3 or 4 gallons of water, using a five-gallon Homer Bucket from Home Depot. Let the net soak overnight (24 hours) in the solution. Take it out, rinse and hang to thoroughly dry. It will soften up the net before you start using it for perfect casting every time. If you clean and wash the cast net after every outing, you will have a net that will last for years. I have several of Lee Fishers nets that I have had over 10 years. You may pay a little more for one of his nets, but they are well worth it.

STRONG!!!
Whoaaa...this net is awesome. Opens great. Super strong!! So strong, that i dobt have one anymore :(I ordered this net last week, after being tired of using and tearing up cheap nets. Was so excited to get out on the boat and catch bait this morning ( shad ) with my big boy net. First throw, let sink to 20 feet. I just knew i had hit the big ball of bait i seen on the screen. SNAG!! Dead on bottom....i could not budge it! After cussing and pulling for 10 minutes, i tied the the hand line to the rail on the boat and backed up. It took all that my yamaha 175 sho had in reverse. Nothing. I had to spin around and thruttle forward before anything would happen. Finally....the hand line poped, and that was all she wrote. I got the hand line and swivel back.So....when i say this net is stong, i really mean this net is strong!!! Good job on a high quilty net! Hopefully i have better luck with my next one!

wrong item
You sent wrong item. The one I ask for has the weigths with plastic protectors, the one you sent does not! Now the net is in Bogota Colombia and is very expensive to return it back. Next time, please be more carefull about you are sending the correct item. If possible you should send the rigth one.RegardsJaime OchoaBogota DC, Colombia

Great net for mullet
This is a great net for casting. The size is great for people to learn on that is not to small.

Looks to be excellent quality. Very heavy for a six footer and sinks very fast.
