Picasso's Animals

So I have been observing the listing for this Picasso book all four years since it became available on Amazon. Finally Amazon gave me a price I could not refuse. Still I love this smaller book way more than I expected. The writing is fabulous with stories of Picasso loving his pets more than I have seen in my many other books about Picasso. So who needs another book on Picasso? You do because there are new images here not seen in other books. Yes, many of the images you already have, but I think enough new to have this book too. The size is a bit smaller, but it is not too small and it is great to carry with you when travelling even just on local trips.You will love reading about Picasso winning a Billy goat in a raffle as he had always wanted a goat and he felt deprived until he got one! My opinion is that this book will help you see Picasso in a new way.

What a charming and insightful little book discussing Picasso's love for a wide variety of animals and his depiction of them in his painting, drawings and other art work. Each animal is given its own section and the book has some nice reproductions showing some examples of how animals are used in Picasso's work. A lovely book to own and a thoughtful gift for art lovers.

Not as many lyrical Picasso drawings as expected.

it's a nice little book, but alas there are only very few drawings included. It's more of a banter about how P loved animals.

Lovely book for my grand daughter who is doing a project on Picasso - I haven't seen the book yet but she loves it!

I bought this for a Picasso fan studying art at university and she loves it!

Nice book - not massively detailed but a good addition to my art book collection.
