Speedy delivery
I have difficulty swallowing pills. Most of the EPO pills are really big, but I was able to swallow these! I took several a day at the end of this last pregnancy.I also had been drinking red raspberry leaf tea, so I can't say for sure it was just this, but my labor was not even 7 hours including pushing, and I was able to sleep through the first 4ish hours! All natural labor, with a sunny side up baby! (Thanks for turning during labor and tricking me, little one...)Just a little more details for expecting moms who want to know:I started this at the end of the pregnancy, my second baby, maybe 34 weeks or so. I was also inserting some vaginally at night. One big pill to insert, and then taking about 3 of these a day. I increased how much I was taking when I got to about 40 weeks. My cervix was really soft and thin at 40 weeks, dilated to maybe 1. At 40 weeks and 5 days, with the official approval of my midwife, I took 2oz of castor oil. I had tried a little right at 40 weeks, maybe 1-2 tablespoons, but it had ZERO effect on me. It didn't even work as a laxative. Lol! So, I tried one big dose, and I started having noticeable contractions at midnight, about 6 hours after taking the oil. I timed them, but they weren't regular enough or painful enough to go in. My midwife said to sleep while I could, so I did. At 3:50 I woke up with them every 2 minutes apart, lasting at least 30 seconds, and I had to breathe through them (and squat... I just had to squat for whatever reason!)After timing about 4 to make sure they were consistent, I woke up my husband and we were gone (in the 15 minutes it took to get ready, they were already stronger and we had an hour and a half drive! Thank ugh my husband sped and we got there quicker.) I transitioned in our van (NOT fun), pushed for about 45min, and we had our baby!I definitely think EPO played a big part in the quick delivery. Now if it could just make it painless! Lol
